Pacific Rim features some of the biggest movie monsters to have terrorised cinema screens for some time.
The beasts in question are Kaiju, inspired in part by the classic Japanese movie monsters like Godzilla and his ilk. In the movie, humans have come up with a novel way to fight back - they pilot Jaeger (giant robots), and engage the beasts in combat.
When we had a chance to speak to Guillermo del Toro and cast members Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Robert Kazinsky, Charlie Day and Burn Gorman, we asked for their personal opinions on one of the ultimate questions for genre fans: what is your favourite movie monster of all time?
