GR+ Live: Meet the makers of Enter the Gungeon on PS4

The quest to find the bullet that can kill the past has begun, son! After a long gestation and much anticipation, Dodge Roll's Enter the Gungeon is finally out on PlayStation 4, ready to test the skills of any and all comers ready to be brutalized by its challenges. Think of a mad cross between Dark Souls and Smash TV. That's Enter the Gungeon.

Dodge Roll's own Dave Crooks joined for an extensive stream of the game, talking about what it takes to get a studio off the ground and how to balance a game so that it never, ever feels like making you yell, "This is bullshit!"

I've been playing games since I turned four in 1986, been writing about them since 1987, and writing about them professionally since 2008. My wife and I live in New York City. Chrono Trigger is my favorite game ever made, Hum's Downward is Heavenward is my favorite album, and I regularly find myself singing "You Won't See Me" by The Beatles in awkward situations.
