Forthcoming biopic Hitchcock has released a new clip online, in which the titular director (Anthony Hopkins) discusses a plot twist he has in mind for Psycho with his wife, Alma Reville (Helen Mirren).
"Just think of the shock value," muses Hitch at the prospect of killing off Janet Leigh at the film's halfway point. "I mean, you are intrigued, are you not, my dear?"
However, it appears that Alma is anything but shocked, and actually has an idea of her own as to how to put the audience even further on the back foot.
Take a look below…
The film will focus upon the making of Psycho , while also exploring the relationship between the notoriously difficult director and his wife. And from what we've seen here, Mirren and Hopkins have more than enough chemistry to ensure we see some real fireworks.
Co-starring Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Biel and James D'Arcy, Hitchcock will open in the UK on 8 February 2013. In the meantime, you can take a look at a new poster for the film, below...
