A Haunted House 2 review

Scarily unfunny

Rubber-faced Marlon Wayans returns in this soul-deadening sequel to his surprise 2013 smash hit, a broad parody of the seemingly endless cycle of exorcist/ghost/scary doll flicks clogging up the multiplexes. Wayans’ Malcolm moves into yet another haunted house with his new girlfriend (Jaime Pressly) and her kids. Naturally, they’re immediately beset by gag-baiting ghouls and ghosties, so they call upon a gang of kooks (Gabriel Inglesias, Missi Pyle, Cedric the Entertainer) to help them clean up the supernatural mess.

Unless you’ve seen every awful horror flick of the past five years, you won’t even get the jokes. A comedic dead zone.
