Next week will bring us rockers 3 brand new tracks from the White Stripes. Harmonix states, ""The White Stripes Pack 01" will feature "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground," from the 2001 album, White Blood Cells; "Girl, You Have No Faith in Medicine," from the 2003 album, Elephant; and "Icky Thump" from the 2007 album of the same name."

Early Friday morning, Harmonix and MTV Games announced that a three pack of tracks from The White Stripes and singles from The Damned and Kasabian will be added next week to the Rock Band Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii. A three pack of Nirvana tracks, a four pack of tracks from Foo Fighters and a single track from Joan Jett & The Blackhearts will be added to the Rock Band Music Store this week for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. I don't know why Harmonix do this, but some weeks you're screwed for choice, Pearl Jam for example seem to get entire weeks worth of DLC deadicated to them, leaving anyone who isn't a massive fan, out in the cold, but then again there was a lot of NIN at the start. Anyway Queen need no introduction, and to be honest it'd be silly for me to pick a song, although Under Pressure may just nab it, simply because it has David Bowie in it. The plaintiff who sued developer Harmonix in November last year over cracking bass drum controller pedals in Rock Band has voluntarily dismissed his case, court records reveal.
In a court filing from September 23, obtained by Gamasutra, plaintiff Monte Morgan dropped a class action lawsuit against Rock Band developer Harmonix, its parent Viacom, Viacom-owned MTV Networks, the game's distributor Electronic Arts, and electronics retailer Best Buy.

AggroGamer: "You can all stop begging Harmonix to get your music on their insanely popular game now. In fact now you need to start bugging the artists and record label to get off their asses. Or even that awesome garage band next store. Just gone live today are the documentation and tools needed to use Harmonix's Rock Band Network. Well the plugins to allow for you to create the music and upload to the XBox Live, as that is the platform for the current release.
This is going to change the game in a drastic way I think. We will start to hear more and more "underground" music flowing out to the public. Making it so bands who are serious don't need to fellate Radio stations for play, but shell out around $100 bucks to get their tracks up on Rock Band for the low prices of $0.99. Not a bad shake for them."

Crazy Kiwi due Flight of the Conchords missed out on an Emmy for their now cancelled TV series yesterday, but did take time out on the red carpet to reveal that a 3 track pack from Brett & Jermaine will be headed to Rock Band at some point in the future.
When asked the guys did not know which songs would be included, but as their new album 'I Told You I Was Freaky' is due at the end of October it'd be a safe bet that at least one of those tracks will make it into the pack
