Q Entertainment brought Lumines Supernova to the PlayStation 3, but they don't have plans for any more ports. Over Twitter, Q Entertainment said there are "no current plans" for PlayStation Network ports of Rez HD, Every Extend Extra Extreme, or Meteos Wars.

However, those plans could change. Their tweet right afterwards reads, "That said, if the demand is there you never know." So, if you want to see Rez HD or Meteos Wars on PlayStation Network bombard Q Entertainment's twitter account with requests.
Xbox Live Arcade Sales, Week Ending 3/01/08 (Triggerheart = 7.2k) (News)

VGChartz reports that this week, Triggerheart Excelica launched to decent numbers. Triggerheart Excelica is the 2nd ever Dreamcast game to come to the XBLA Service, with Rez HD being the first. Excelica beats previous $10 Schmup recordholder, Omega 5's debut of 6,000 units by a decent 20% increase.

However, like Omega 5, it was vastly frontloaded this week: it's debut sales on it's first day was almost 40% of the 3day week (which is rather high). Another major note: Japanese Xbox 360 users made up 40% of the entire Excelica userbase. In the case of Omega 5, it sold only to 14% Japanese users (which is well above the norm, as the JP userbase constitutes maybe 5% of the average XBLA purchase base).

Other notes:

-Sonic the Hedgehog reaches 250,000 Units
-N+ increased very well
-Rez HD finishes it's first month just shy of 100,000 units
-Chessmaster LIVE ends it's first month with almost 28,000 units.
-Poker Smash had a massive drop from last week: it shed 70% from last week. Fortunately, the game has still done very well with grossing $400,000 in 4 weeks.
The Japanese developer fused music and rhythm into gaming years before the first shipment of flimsy plastic guitars hit shelves. In fact, his melodic shooter went much further, putting control of the music directly into the player's hands, as well as incorporating dynamic visual elements to create a fully immersive artistic experience. ...
Xbox Live Arcade Sales Chart - 2/2/08 (News)

VGChartz reports that this week, Dreamcast shooter remake "Rez HD" broke all records we've had since the charts started. In just 3 days, it's already amassed $250,000 in sales, and beaten the the rest of the top-5 3 day debut games combined. Yes, it's that massive.

So what's next in store for Rez HD? Most likely alot more sales. Rez HD is well on it's way to eventually selling 500,000 units as projections would place this high of sales within it's first 18 months of sale.

Chessmaster LIVE also debuted rather strongly, despite selling in Rez HD's shadow. With almost 4,000 units sold, it's likely that a casual-selling chess game, such as CM Live could go on to do very well - even though it's at a $10 price point.

In other notable news, Undertow had a huge number of downloads activated this week. This should be the biggest week, with sales beginning to decend from now on. Expect about another 500,000 before it stops.

While Rez gets all of the fanfare, however, Metal Slug 3 finished it's first month of sale with 63,000 units. Since the charts started, this places it at #2 next to Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, with 88,000 units. However, that record won't last very long, as Rez HD should sell over 100,000 units it's first month.
SEGA's shooter Rez HD will be available to download from the XBOX Live Arcade this Wednesday (30th January) for 800 Microsoft Points (about £6.50).

The game features updated visuals and 5.1 surround sound. There is also a new option which gives players the ability to use up to four controllers as "trance vibrators" which is a chance to get off as the pads vibrate with the music.

It looks like cult Sega shooter Rez HD will finally hit Xbox Live Arcade next Wednesday, January 30.

The 800 point refresh (that's about £6.50 or $10 in real money) features updated visuals and 5.1 surround sound - something we actually give a damn about where Rez is concerned.

There's also a chunk of new options including the ability to use up to four controllers as "trance vibrators," which in case you don't remember the bizarre PS2 peripheral is basically a chance to get off as the ...

Eurogamer reports that Rez HD could appear on Xbox Live Arcade within days.

"The game is being prepped and it's just waiting for the green light," said the spokesperson. "Maybe next week?" Cough wink nudge.

Rez HD is a remake of Dreamcast and PS2 title Rez. You shoot things in time to music in wacky environments, like some kind of Jean Michel-Jarre of the Future.

The game will cost 800 Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.30) when it does arrive, and you can read what we thought of it in our recent Rez HD first impressions.

Rez HD, one of the more anticipated Xbox Live Arcade games, is tipped to hit Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday. Time to top up those points.

The 800 point remake (that's about £6.50) features updated visuals and 5.1 surround sound (a bullet point that actually matters where Rez is concerned).

There's also a chunk of new options including the ability to use up to four controllers as "trance vibrators", which in case you don't remember the bizarre PS2 peripheral is basically a chance to get off as the pads vibrate with the music.

Meanwhile, for people who don't like loud music and shooting there's Chessmaster Live, Ubisoft's take on the old classic which comes with full vision camera support. So you can watch your mates scratching their heads and cheating by calling in granddad for backup.

That the very first comment on our very first Rez HD post asked if the updated shooter contained support for the infamous trance vibrator peripheral should come as no surprise. Though Mizuguchi says the device wasn't meant to be sexual, ever since that 2002 game girl advance post buzzed its way onto the internets, the vibrating peripheral has become a thing of gaming lore.
Sept 20, 2007

Developer, Q Entertainment has just announced that their psychedelic shooter, Rez will be unleashed on Xbox Live in early 2008 under the working title Rez HD. Rez was originally released in North America and Europe on the PS2 and Dreamcast in 2002, and received gushing praise from critics.

The media seemed to love Rez unique look and the way that sound effects from blowing stuff up were incorporated into its techno soundtrack. But not everyone was blown away. Click here to check ...
