Spidey developer does Bond

360 News | James Bond 007: Casino Royale

The new James Bond game will be developed by Spider-Man 2 developer, Treyarch, and will be the first Bond since Activision acquired the 007 license from Electronic Arts. The news comes from a job listing on the Activision website which ran "Treyarch is looking for a gameplay designer for our upcoming Bond title". Rare on Xbox Live Arcade profitability

Speaking at the Develop conference this week, Rare's Nick Burton said that while Xbox Live Arcade titles may not offer huge returns, they can provide a "small but reasonable" revenues on a constant basis.

"When asked by an audience member if [Jetpack refuelled] was a commercial success Burton replied, "If you want to measure it in success in that we broke even - we're in the black, so that's good."

Rare fixes Jetpac theme glitch

A minor glitch that prevented gamers from using an unlockable dashboard theme and gamer pictures in Jetpac Refuelled has been fixed with a new update. Rare released an official statement on its official site, acknowledging the technical blip, and apologized. To install the update you are actually required to delete the game you have already downloaded and completely re-download the now-fixed version. Rare got into the GDC spirit today by revealing the first footage of its new Live Arcade title, Jetpac Refuelled. The game is a remake of the classic 16k Spectrum shooter from 1983, back when Rare was known as Ultimate Play The Game. Could this mark the beginning of major re-assessment of Rare's most ancient back catalogue?

The Xbox 360 version will feature more enemies and over 100 levels, with the camera panning further away from the action for each stage you advance past; eventually reducing your spaceman to a tiny blip surrounded by hordes of wacky aliens.

As usual, we can expect the usual HD resolution support, achievements and general next-generation polish.

You'll also be able to battle it out against your friends on Xbox Live, as up to four of you race to be the first to cobble together and refuel your spaceship. All the action will take place on one screen, and with waves of Martians to maul, it isn't as easy as it sounds
