Several former employees at Blue Omega, developers behind the recent Damnation, have confirmed with Kotaku today that the entire dev team has been laid off following "issues" with Codemasters, Damnation's publishers.

A new trailer was released today for Blue Omega Entertainment's upcoming steampunk shooter Damnation, this one focusing specifically on the multiplayer aspects of the game. Narrated by producer Richard Gilbert, the trailer hammers home the point that, because the characters can climb on any surface in the game, there will be nearly infinite number of attack and defense positions during multiplayer matches.
Here's this weeks Video Games released for Europe. There's a couple of highlights this week; Punch Out! for the Wii, UFC 2009: Undisputed and Bionic Commando for both PS3 and Xbox 360.
Codemasters has announced that Damnation, with a serious delay, will appear on May 22 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Originally, the game of Blue Omega needed to come out last year.
Codemasters have confirmed that, as part of their wider expansion strategy, they were looking to localise languages in certain emerging markets.
