can't wait for this! Horray for Steam! I am also glad that 360 peps are getting it too. I have a 360 but I don't have L4D for it! More people to play.
Nice article and I love you Valve!

@ xXUltrosXx

Chet wasn't trying to make excuses, he was making a joke. Valve wanted to put Achievements in, and Microsoft told them they could only have Achievements if they charged for the DLC. I don't remember the free GoW Achievements specifically, but my guess would be that since Microsoft published Gears they made their own rules for their own product. A double standard from Microsoft? I'd believe it.

Wow that is just too epic and i bet ill love it to death, but i have a question;

Does survival mode include difficulty settings or is it stuck in one difficulty just like versus mode?

yay!!! :D
thank you valve!! you guys r teh best
(even though you dont support PS3 =_=....)
but since i have steam, its fine i guess
steam FTW!!!

@erreip199:

survival doesn't have difficulty settings. it is its own difficulty, so to speak, as it just continually gets harder and harder until you die. Valve is still tweaking the way the difficulty ramps up, but they fully intend for it to be a brutally short experience. no one has ever lasted longer than 10 minutes!

I truely LOVE L4D and them throwing out this free DLC is just so awsome, Valve <3

Yes! I can't wait for this!

I hope they release some new mini-movies soon though. Also, some time after the DLC, they should think about L4D 2...

I only play pc games and would never pay for DLC so valve did the right thing, microsoft can BITE IT.
Everything coming looks tasty for sure!
One major drawback to the LFD game is for clans such as ours www.greywolvesclan.com, we have many members and we can't all play or play with new recruits due to the 8 player limit.Every night our LFD servers (2) are packed full, but their are terrible issues with the servers (too many to list here) that seriously need fixed. It's bad enough having players standing by to get into our servers next game, without dealing with no connects,server crashes in the middle of the match,ect.
And why do servers cost so much in these tough times?

Valve are so fucking awesome

Hate the game,but this may help.
One of the main reasons i didnt like it was cause of the two maps that werent versus in the first place (LAZY).
Survival may be cool on the new map,and the endings.
