Codemasters, the developer and publisher of acclaimed videogames including Colin McRae: DiRT and Race Driver: GRID, was honoured at the 2009 Develop Industry Excellence Awards winning the coveted Grand Prix Award. The ceremony was held last night in Brighton, UK, as part of the Develop Conference 2009.

Codemasters have revealed the second car to be included in the upcoming DLC pack for GRID to be the VW W12 Nardo.
Codemasters has responded to irate Race Driver: GRID fans that were stripped of their hard earned ranks in the recent server-wide reset.
The patch for GRID on Xbox 360 has been put live, with it comes a number of enhancements and changes. The patch has a side effect of resetting every players online rank back down to zero. Many players have invested a considerable amount of time into the game on their way to the top ranks in order to unlock achievements. Players on the verge of meeting the requirements will now find they will have to start again from scratch at the very bottom rank.
Codemasters have launched a Competition offering people the chance to get a livery they've designed featured in the upcoming DLC car pack for GRID.
Shacknews is reporting that Codemasters has released a second Race Driver: GRID demo, sponsored by eBay Motors. The 690mb download features the eBay Motors Muscle Series and two tracks.
Codemaster is making moves on the Japanese market, with the first step the localisation of the recently release Race Driver: GRID
VG247: Codemasters just confirmed that Race Driver: GRID will launch for 360 and PS3 in Japan at some point this year.
Codemasters have announced the list of features, changes and bug fixes on the way in their forthcoming patch for the game. The patch is planned to go live at the end of next week although this date is subject to change. Unless platform specific the list applies to all versions of the game.

Codemasters has said it is busy working on a patch to stop stuttering issues in the Xbox 360 version of Race Driver: GRID. Developer boss Gavin Raeburn waded into the official forum to confirm as much, and offered a temporary solution for those of you affected.
TVGB: "..they'd wait to see how GRID performed whilst working on that before they picking their next move. Furthermore, because of the loss of Colin McRae last year, the company was still discussing internally where to take the renowned rally franchise."
