The promised PS3 and Xbox 360 Devil May Cry 4 demo will be out in early 2008.
According to Capcom, the demo consists of a sampling of sections from the full game which have been chosen "to showcase Devil May Cry 4's varied locales and allows gamers to familiarize themselves with Nero's unique abilities.”

Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today confirmed that owners of Sony Computer Entertainment's PLAYSTATION3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft will be able to experience Devil May Cry 4 early, thanks to the release of a playable demo. A free downloadable demo of the game will be available on the PLAYSTATIONStore and Xbox LIVE Marketplace in early 2008. The first details have emerged on the pre-release demo of Devil May Cry 4... though we don't have a clue when or where it's going to hit.
The ten minute demo is a mish-mash of portions from Devil May Cry 4's story; including cut-up sections from Fortuna city as well as a bit from that icy level we've seen a thousand screenshots of.
Excitingly a boss character called Berial is also said to feature. Oh Capcom, you're spoiling us!

Two days ago JeuxFrance.com reported that a demo would be coming out exclusively for the Xbox360, since this was the only console mentioned in the latest issue of Famitsu. However, a known Capcom representative has posted on the Capcom forums stating that this is untrue."

According to Gamefront.de, the latest issue of Famitsu states that a demo of Capcom's highly anticipated action title is going to be hitting the Japanese Xbox Live Marketplace before the year is out.

Devil May Cry 4 is just gorgeous. Really, watch the trailer and see - it's a glossy, smooth and slick actioner that, visually at least, is the very definition of what a hi-def videogame should be.
