    Im gonna hav to say 2's are the best: Marvel vs Capcom 2, Street fighter 2, Soul calibur 2, Megaman 2, Resident evil 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Halo 2, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, Gears of War 2, Half life 2, and it just keeps going and going

    Dynasty Warriors 1 was a one-on-one fighting game, so it shouldn't really count in the tally (or at least is worth mentioning).

    GTA 3 was better than 4. GTA IV may be the most overrated game since FF7

    What about Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion! Better than Arena, Daggerfall and Morrowind!

    Whether or not 4 is always the best, there's no denying that, in games, 4 is a magic number. You don't see a lot franchises stop at trilogies. 2's company, 3's a crowd, 4's a party! Take Half-life 2 for instance: with Episode 3, that individual story get's a total of 4 parts (consider HL2 the pilot episode).

    Ace Combat 6 lost the points for the lack of a good story. Unfortunately I have no idea about the other games you described

    DMC4 is actually my favourite of the series :( But yeah as someone said Elders Scroll is a great example also.

    DMC 3 isthe best game in the series, the first is awesome, the fourth is really good, and the second sucks giant, wet donkey balls. on my very first run-through of DMC 2 i used little more than, what, 3 hours.
