My favorite game ever would have to go to Crono Trigger since its a RPG that perfected the ATB System and nothing else comes to close to the quality tale based around the simple concept of time travel.

Major respect for some of these, especially Coop's, Sophia's and Henry's.

Didn't I do this yesterday? Oh well, I love all three Smash Bros., and every main Pokemon game, specifically Platinum Version.

  • thing1amc - April 19, 2012 4:02 p.m.

The Mass Effect Trilogy hands down.
  • babyhenchy1 - April 19, 2012 4:02 p.m.

Super Metroid, MGS3 and System Shock 2 are my favorite games ever. Favorite franchise is Metroid. Would've been Mass Effect if not for ME3's ending though it's still in my Top 5.

Damn Gilbert, im surpised you chose Advance wars when your constantly raving about Yoshi's Island XD Ouenden Takeshi? Nice choice! I already said Yesterday, One of my Personal Favorties is DK64. Its my most favorite Open World 3D Platformer with Mario Sunshine in second for that genre. The game was HUGE, needing an extra RAM for the N64 when you bought it. The area's were huge, there were ALLOT of puzzles, all the different kongs were so freakin awesome to use. And the amount of collectables were HUGE in this game. -201 Golden Banana's -3500 colored banana's -40 Blueprints -40 Banana Medals -20 Banana Fairies -10 Arena Crowns -8 Boss Keys -All the Kong's Various Special moves -Each Kong's Specific Gun and ammo -Each Kong's Specific Instrument -All the Kong Medals to pay for the above mentioned moves. -The Rare Coin -The Nintendo Coin, both coins needed to fight the final boss. If you remember the Video Game edition of Guiness World Records 2008 gave DK64 the award for most collectibles ever. And Finally, the guilty Pleasure of the DK Rap which will still be memorable to this day. This game is awesome and I hope Retro Studios revives the Open World 3D Platforming Genre by making a Sequel to this amazing game. and I already mentioned yesterday how much i love Super Paper Mario

Oh yeah, i almost forgot to mention, The Final Boss of DK64 is probably one of the best Final Bosses Ever, having to fight K. Rool in a Giant Boxing ring in 5 rounds, 1 for each kong. This game was indeed one hell of an Epic Game.

Definitely Disgaea Hour/Afternoon of Darkness (PS2/PSP). I've spent more hours on that game (combining several different playthroughs spread through the various iterations of it). I picked up the PS2 version years ago, because the graphics and character designs looked interesting. It was a bit of a risky buy for me, because I didn't know if I'd like it and being a kid relying on allowance, I had to spend my money a bit more carefully in those days. Best bang for buck I've ever had by a wide margin. The only games that even close to rival it in hours played are Oblivion, and the original 4 .hack games (Combined I got about 300 to 350 hours on .hack). Disgaea 2, 3, and 4 are all good additions to the series of course, but Disgaea 1 is where my heart is. I would buy it (and the other Disgaea games) again in a heartbeat if they came to PC as well. I started playing a new playthrough of Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness a couple of weeks ago. I was inspired by then closing release of Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention (which I've switched to playing now instead XD). Honorable Mention: Oblivion, Skyrim, and Fallout 3/NV. Oh, and Megaman X. Played Megaman X a LOT in the SNES era, along with Super Mario World.

I love Deus ex! Obviously the gameplay, freedom and legacy the game left behind is well know but this was the first piece of any entertainment that introduced me to cyberpunk thus making it one my favorite genres/moods/settings.
  • Eliath - April 19, 2012 6:18 p.m.

Secret of Mana or Seiken Densetsu 3, which sadly was never ported to SNES in the US. ... Or Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn or Planescape: Torment. It depends on my mood.
  • Eliath - April 19, 2012 6:21 p.m.

Shadow, I would recommend trying Makai Kingdom if you can find it and haven't played it. I am torn between Makai Kingdom and the original Disgaea for top dog amongst those games.
  • DaveGoose - April 19, 2012 6:39 p.m.

    No Mikel Raparaz? Lame
  • ludicololvr - April 19, 2012 6:45 p.m.

Tales of Symphonia for GC is and always will be my favorite game of all time. It was the game that re-ignited my love for video games and started my love for the wonderful world of JRPGs.
  • profile0000 - April 19, 2012 6:55 p.m.

Yeah, I'll second that. I'm curious as to what his most loved game is.
  • BladedFalcon - April 19, 2012 7:04 p.m.

He doesn't officially work ere anymore, remember? Also, my money is on Jaws Unleashed :P He has never hidden his irrational love for that game XD (They even made it the main theme of their last christmas special!)
  • BladedFalcon - April 19, 2012 7:06 p.m.

Seconded. I loved the shit out of Makai Kingdom, and to this day, it's the only game in the series I have loved enough to finish XD And Iunno, personally, I loved the characters so much, specially Zetta, THE MOST BADASS OVERLORD IN THE UNIVERSE.
  • machupichu1992 - April 19, 2012 7:08 p.m.

I must play Grim Fandango! Always wanted to. Never had the opportunity.
