    I don't agree with Jenova's statement. He said that lots of bad guys to kill isn't good, while good in, say, Shadow of the Colossus, it would make for a boring game if Uncharted or God of War had just the occasional bad guy.

    Two of the obvious points I have to hate on would be 'on disc dlc' and the fact the industry is mainly sequel driven. Also as of late I hate the industry trend of game developers revealing half of their game's plots through pushy marketing campaigns!

    Ben Kane's point is a big one, but I think he's only scratching the surface. Gamers know proper urgency. Onscreen timers make sure we reach checkpoints on time, so we spend the rest of the time on the exploding submarine looking for collectibles and just barely get out in time, every time. It's the "walk the wrong way first" thing that really, really irritates me about games. If we're supposed to believe what's at stake, we shouldn't be rewarded for always walking in the wrong direction.
