Thought for sure Catherine would be on this list.

Catherine probably isn't included because the surrealism has a purpose. These games are just bonkers because the design plan seemed to be "Fuck it, why not?"

Isn't there a Hitman clone where you rape the victim instead? I think it's called Biko. Horrible, horrible idea. Then there's Demolition Girl, which I bought for 5p after I saw it on a previous GamesRadar list. Plot involves a race of space jellyfish who wish to conquer the world by knocking out a bikini model, enlarging her to 100 feet tall, deceive her into thinking she's dreaming and have her climb some building to destroy an antenna ray or some shit like that. Not a great game, or even a good one but it makes for a passable 30 minutes. Plus, the insanity was worth 5p. As for this list, I've played Parappa, Incredible Crisis and LSD and I love them all. Really want to try Deadly Premonition after seeing Spoony's Let's Play of it. Bring on the PS3 release.

I suppose it could possibly be that Katamari was added to this list instead since that is the developers most popular game, but I could have sworn Wiiware's downloadable release Muscle March would have actually made an appearance on this list, considering the concept of that game would make virtually anyone play with some form of embarrassment looming over them. What other game do you have bodybuilders donning thongs(or bikini) chase after random people(and aliens) all because they stole their secret protein shake formula?

    Seriously? I'm buying it now.

Localized: Muscle March for the Wii. Non-Localized: Captain Rainbow for the Wii. The only Nintendo game to openly talk about Birdo's [censored].

And what have we learned? The PlayStation brand has a lot of weird Japanese games.

What's that? A Japanese brand has a lot of weird Japanese games? MORE ON THIS STORY AS IT DEVELOPS!

Rule of Rose was super creepy and had some fantastic and incredibly sad music. Really one of the best survival horror games ever. Just don't play it if you're depressed, it will only sink you more.

Would God Hand be considered as a possible entry, because that game was great on so many levels.

What about Ape Escape? You teleport all through the timestream/world/tv channels and try to capture super-intelligent monkeys that subscribe to a heierarchy of pants. You also use a hula hoop that gives you super speed, a banana that is also a boomerang, and the lightsaber/billy club from Futurama. That is a weird f*cking game.

I'm not sure whether it counts because I nought it off the import section of psn but I suppose since it's on psn it does count. Anyway the game I am refering to is chou aniki, just watch (to the end) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gF-gqOeio2I Also there's another bonkers game I got from ps mobile called "pinky spots leg massage" in which you touch various points on a girls legs and when doing well she screams in pleasure.

Hmmm, makes me wonder which games the Japanese think are weird when they are localised from the west?
  • shawksta - December 6, 2012 8:13 p.m.

Ah, how interesting and Bizarre it would be for Nintendo to release Captain Rainbow but i highly doubt it with its mature shenanigans
  • CitizenWolfie - December 7, 2012 9:13 a.m.

If ever there was a game that needs a reboot, it's I'm Sorry. Honestly, I'd pay full RRP for a game that allows me to knock out contemporary celebrities. Maybe just change the gameplay from "Pac-man" clone to "Manhunt" clone.
