Video game propaganda posters you've never seen before

We're used to being the good guys. But did you ever stop to think about it from the enemy's point of view? Wouldn't our heroes look completely different?

Of course, just as in the real world, wartime imagery and alternative views of the enemy could undoubtedly be perpetuated with some propaganda posters… like these.

The Legend of Zelda

Super Mario World

Dead Rising

Gears of War

Advance Wars

Super Mario Bros

  • Kipper - October 14, 2009 4:07 p.m.

@Satu There's no Cold War propaganda scarier or more pointless than 'Protect And Survive'. Basically how to make a functional nuclear bomb shelter using common household items. Yeah, right.

You know, that "what did you do during the Great War Daddy?" add never made sense to me.
  • GR_JustinTowell - October 14, 2009 10:26 p.m.

It's set in the future, when a man's children ask him what he did in the war. He's ashamed because he shirked his responsibility and didn't enrol in the army. The idea being, if you enrol and fight you'll never feel that shame. Pretty clever, really!
