uncharted 2 was great...one of the only ps3 exclusves worth playing (mgs4, valkyria chronicles, and demon's souls would round out my list)in my humble opinion...but these suggesions are BALLS (no offense charlie)... chloe is the worst character i've seen in a game in a LONG time...petty, stupid, greedy, ugly, seemingly existing to only stimulate boners on teenage boys...love triange? c'mon, you talk about giving nate better competition but chloe vs elena? not even close... also, multiplayer (big fart sound), sully (who the fuck cares about this guy?)...supernatural silliness? uncharted wouldn't be uncharted without it...even the name suggests the unknown... and i'm sorry, but fillion just doesn't have the chops... other than that, good list

Wasn't much of a fan of the supernatural thing either, but it gave it an interesting change of phase. What did annoy me of the game...is that those damn assholes don't ever reload their weapons! I played it on a hard difficulty on my first play through, and even being quite skilled it took me many, maaany retries, so I felt the game was hard enough... maybe puzzle / jumping wise, it could be tuned to be harder.

I too very much agree with Xephimost, he ripped the words right of my vocal chords

"No Supernatural Silliness" Are you people insane? It's been there right from the start. El Dorado, Shambhala, Fountain of Youth, et al. Has no one here ever seen any movies or read any books based in El Dorado? There's always some supernatural aspect of it. And it always ends with the heroes willingly giving up the gold. And then Shambhala/Shangri-La and the Fountain of Youth. How could you put yourself in a situation with these and then come back and say "We don't want supernatural stuff, it's silly"? If anything, it's to Naughty Dog's merit that they can slowly build into the supernatural aspect as to almost make it seem natural. And when it gets to that part of the game, it's not as jarring as it would be if it showed up right at the beginning. And, personally, I'd find something big missing if there's no supernatural aspect in the game. Especially with this third outing being in the Middle East, there's TOO many possibilities for really interesting supernatural occurrences (the LEAST of which are the mummies mentioned in this article). Speaking of which, the article also mentioned aspects of the best Tomb Raider games. Did the writer forget that ALL of Lara's adventures included supernatural entities as well? It's part of the adventure. It's unbelievable, but the build up makes it completely possible in the game world and exhilarating. How could that ever be a bad thing?

They gotta have at least a little bit of supernatural stuff in the game, it's par for the genre. Look at the Indiana Jones movies; they get away with a bit of supernatural stuff.

YES to Nathan Fillion. Easily the best suggestion on here. This is the reason I keep returning to GR. They see a travesty-in-the-making with David O. Russell's "Uncharted" movie with Wahlberg and they take every opportunity to let the world know that the one true Nathan Drake is and always will be Nathan Fillion. Naughty Dog - approach Fillion and I promise he will lend his likeness and voice talent to the game. Oh, and take back your IP from David O. Russell already. Let him make National Treasure 3 and either don't make an Uncharted film or get someone who isn't a complete moron to do it, and cast Fillion (duh).

why don't they just say "fuck the love triangle?" I hate those, they're such a tired plot device. Maybe Elena could support her man, and Nathan vice versa. That's something you don't see very often. and get off Mark Wahlberg's back, god damn. He was picked, he didn't choose. He's a damn good actor, so is Nathan Fillion, but Russell worked with Wahlberg multiple times

"we'd love to wage online war in the collapsing Nepalese hotel as one of the greatest helicopters in digital history rains fire down on all of the combatants" One the DlC maps, Highrise, is exactly the kind of map you're talking about. To be honest I thought all the maps conveyed an Uncharted feel. Just because the maps aren't on a moving train (which would kinda suck because a linear environment like a train doesn't suit several players) doesn't mean they aren't cinematic.

Nathan fillion is a must have for uncharted 2.
  • Turboash - February 16, 2011 5:27 p.m.

    F this game.

Excellent ideas all around! It stinks that we're all but guaranteed a supernatural encounter at least once this time around, but I hope ND doesn't go too far with it. Also, having Nathan Fillion in the game, especially as the rival to Nate would be incredible. Make it happen, ND!

Al of these are great suggestions, except maybe the whole european castle in America thing, but if they were to only incorporate one of these, I really hope its the one where they remove zombies and such. As awesome as zombies are, I really never liked them in uncharted. I was just going through the game, everything normal and then bam, you got nazi zombies trying to kill you. it wasn't that they made the game bad, but they still don't really fit, plus, everyone and their grandmother is doing a zombie version for every game, as awesome as zombies are, they are being ruined!

    OriginalJonty THAT IS GENIUS!!
  • Fredeur - February 16, 2011 4:42 p.m.

Chloe is such an awesome character, she deserves to be in her own game. And for Uncharted 3, Nathan needs a great ennemy. And a final boss battle who is not lame.

"No supernatural silliness" "Better Boss Battles" Please ND, listen to this man. The supernatural stuff almost ruined both games for me. "Or better yet, lose the guns and make the final encounter a scripted chase sequence or a daredevil platforming puzzle" Either of these would make fucking awesome endings too. Do away with boss battles. They're rubbish & you dont need them!
  • Gene - February 16, 2011 3:05 p.m.

"Make Nathan Fillion the competition for Elena!" Agreed. Have Fillion voice-act and mo-cap Drake's rival. Seeing the two of them go head-to-head would make for a) a very good game and b) a very fun Zero Punctuation.
