Top 7

Rapture simcity sounded like an awesome idea at first, but if you think about it, it wouldn't really work. Rapture is a city that has no government, so if you played as mayor, you wouldn't really do anything.

A game where you have to cheat to win sounds like the most awesomely different game ever, I would LOVE to see somebody really do something with that. And I doubt I'm alone.

Really... You even post Septhiroth on a picture but don't mention him in actual post? Only some kiddy characters?... Anyway, my vote goes for, yes, Septhiroth and Wesker from Resident Evil. Something about him getting cloned and killing Chris.

Rapture Sims would be pretty amazing, and the idea behind the Waluigi game sounds great, but I don't know how well it'd work in practicality- it seems like it'd just end up like the first Scribblenauts where everyone just uses 'Cthulhu' and then jet-packs to the end of the level. As I saw at least one other person put, i think it'd be great to be able to play as game as Team Rocket. i think Pokemon needs at least one mature instalment, and what better way than have you play as one of the bad guys? The ability to steal- not just snag- enemies pokemon'd be great, and instead of gyms, why not have underground fighting rings? You'd have a legitimate reason to enslave legendaries, and by the end, you could have, like, built up an empire for yourself. it'd be like scarface, only with less Mudda-fukkin' Cocka-roaches. And with all the bug pokemon there are, there could even be some of them.

Captain Qwark isn't a villain, he works with ratchet and Clank in half the games. True, he does jump in at the last minute to steal the credit while not really having done anything, but he's more of an asshole than a villain, really O.o

Nope! The first game, he was paid by Drek to kill the duo. Then in 2 he *SPOILERS* over takes another system's Weapons dealer company to mass produce a monster. For the sole purpose of breaking into the the spotlight of being a hero again, and of course getting rid of R & C in the process. He's more of a numb friendemy (Friend and Enemy), but he did in the 3rd have mini games detailing his "Heroic battles." I'd love to see a spin off of Quark that's basically a spiritual sequel to Blasto.

I actually never beat the first game, figures XD. But if I remember correctly, wasn't he a part of your crew in the 3rd game, along with the majority of his cadets or something? I know that at some point in the series he essentially becomes an ally, but I never really though of him as a villain, then again, I never beat the first game (I got stuck on the planet where you're supposed to free him, but I kept dying in the flooding tunnel which you had to get through in order to reach him. I was also only 10 years old when I first played the game XD)
  • gtaivac_ - May 12, 2012 7:48 p.m.

in the first two Ratchet games he was a complete villian evil asshole, in the third one he essentially switched sides because a character that brilliant just had to be around constantly, the 2 next gen games then degraded him further into the bunbling but hilarious ally we know today

    I would prefer UniCop.
  • Person5 - May 8, 2012 10:53 a.m.

I wouldn't really call Andrew Ryan a villain, he was only perceived as the villain while Atlas was telling you what to do. He had the best of intentions but when it all failed and he saw his dream ruined he couldn't live with himself anymore.

Well there was all those people he killed..
  • needles - May 8, 2012 10:49 a.m.

Holy shit this list sucked. Oh and screw this new layout.
  • sternparez - May 8, 2012 8:18 a.m.

I know it's been said before but seriously this new layout is horrible for top 7's
  • CitizenWolfie - May 8, 2012 2:47 a.m.

I love how you use a picture of Sephiroth and Robotnik/Eggman and then they're not even mentioned past the opening slide. Clever GR! I'd totally be up for a Ghost/Zombie Pirate LeChuck game. Throw in some Insult Sword Fighting and that's Game of the Year right there. How about a Legend of Zelda game where you play as Ganondorf? During his time being sealed away from Hyrule, Ganon becomes self-aware that he is part of a never ending cycle of legends in which he is always thwarted by the Hero of Time. The object is to break out of the seal, wreak as much havok on Hyrule as you can before Link is ready to wield the Master Sword and then use some sort of clever fourth wall breaking scheme/glitch to hide the sword outside the realm of the game.

Definitely GLaDoS. Build a bunch of awesome puzzles and watch as people struggle to solve them. I guess now you can considering the Portal 2 DLC is coming out! Also, Qwark isn't really a villain. Sure he's a dick but other than that he hasn't done anything really wrong other than be a heroic symbol so that when trouble comes the really heroes aren't on the first attack list, instead this blubbering idiot is.

Kefka's Existential Playhouse: It's like Sim City but with more ways to wreck up the place. Alternatively there's "The King of the Cosmos: Intervention Damacy" In which you play as the King of the Cosmos as you try to escape your loved ones, get drunk and destroy the galaxy.
  • Blaastoid - May 7, 2012 7:11 p.m.

It might be interesting to play as Vladimir Makarov from the Call of Duty series. Maybe it would be cool to be GlaDOS and design puzzles for Chell to solve. Or a spin-off of Super Meat Boy playing as Dr. Fetus or other enemies from that game. Just some ideas.
  • CrKnight - May 7, 2012 7:05 p.m.

I would definitely play the Waluigi and Star Wolf games. Both concepts sound amazingly fun or funny! I also really like that the Top 7 cover art isn't a spoiler for the content like others have been. It keeps me wondering.
  • GameManiac - May 7, 2012 7:40 p.m.

Sign me up for both Star Wolf and Waluigi as well. Add in Pokémon's Team Rocket as well.
  • Sgt. Beefheart - May 7, 2012 6:37 p.m.

I'd like to play The Beatles Rock Band as Yoko.
