Woo, time to use my knowledge of Greek mythology for something useful! Rapid fire list. 1. The Makhai- Vicious spirits of battle 2. The Keres- Horrible personifications of death that live in jars. Perhaps Kratos breaks one and releases them? 3. The Karkinos- Basically just a Giant Enemy Crab. (hur hur) Or did Kratos already kill that in the beginning of 3? 4. Arachne- The Mother of Spiders 5. Erebus- The God of Primordial Darkness. Seriously, it doesn't get much darker than this. 6. Kampé- A she-dragon(look her up) 7. The Hekatonkeir- The Hundred-Handed Ones. Basically the precursors to the Cyclopes.

"Til he took an Eros to the knee."

Man Bear Pig from South Park lol. The list sounds great, but I don’t want to see the goddess of the night’s doggie show at any point in the game okay. Man that is a creepy image and how did that relationship even start? What did Cerberus walk up and say “you know what they say about a dog with three heads”?

Apollo or Echidne, mother of all monsters (hydra, cerberus, scylla, chimera etc.)!

I think Ouranos (The father of the original titans) would be a great fight, and going with GoWs theme of changing Greek mythology Kratos could be the one who castrated him, instead of Kronos.

Those are definitely some nice ideas, especially the powers Kratos could get from killing them. Wish this article came out earlier and Santa Monica gave a thought on these.

A puppy. Why? Because he's killed everything but a puppy as of late. The puppy just does adorable things like tumble about and tries to lick Kratos' toes, but needs to be eviscerated just because a door needs to be opened that requires a puppy heart.

Very educational! Now I'm super pumped for the next game!

Typhon IE correctly this time. In GoW2 he was a generic titan yet in myth he was, in summery basically a Lovecraftian horror of immense power.

"...eros to the knee" it's still funny

King Lycaon of Arcadia, the original werewolf. He sacrificed one of his own sons on an alter of Zeus' as a test of His omniscience. Zeus saw through the ruse and cursed Lycaon by giving him the head of a wolf and killing the rest of his sons (while resurrecting the one Lycaon killed). Lycaon ran off and started the Lycaean Games, precursor to the Panathenaic Games. He is also where we get the term lycanthropy in reference to werewolves. Lots of potential there, and I'd be sad if he doesn't at least make a brief appearance, á la King Midas in Ghost of Sparta.
