2. RoboCop

Why It Needs A New Game:It's RoboCop! What other reason do you need? The market is rife with shooters at the moment, and one more couldn't hurt. Plus, there are few things more empowering than taking on the role of a justice-dealing machine man who walks the path of the law with methodical, unstoppable righteousness. It could work both as a third-person or first-person shooter, and it would rock. Provided of course, you have the obligatory boss battle with ED-209.

Destroying drug lords and corrupt executives with the iron hand of truth is something we have all dreamed of, and only with current generation technology can we really feel like we've made a difference in the world. Those old arcade shooters were fun, but we want to BE RoboCop!

1. Labyrinth

The Movie: A really unlikable woman-child wishes the Goblin King would take her brother away. By some coincidence, it turns out he's real and does just that. The girl must then enter a mystical maze full of Jim Henson creatures. David Bowie stars as the King. His penis stars as the magnetic lump in his tights that no viewer can stop staring at.

Why It Needs A New Game: Jim Henson's Labyrinth is a timeless classic, and while we’re certain that Hollywood will one day seize upon the idea of a remake, for now we have memories of one of the best family movies ever made. Between Bowie's hammy performance and Henson's twisted fairytale world, there's an entire universe rich in imagination that would make for a fantastic adventure game.

Labyrinth's setup, a journey full of puzzling traps and bizarre characters, is perfect for a game with a structure similar to The Legend of Zelda. It needn't be based on the plot of a film, but of someone else who find themselves trapped in the Labyrinth on a quest to defeat Jareth. That opens the scope for more original gameplay, and plenty of combat against goblin soldiers.

It would also be wonderful to just step into that beautiful world created by Henson and the gang, in full HD. Even by today's standards, the film is a treat to look at, and you could really make something beautiful on a 360, PS3 or PC. If any of these films were turned into games, Labyrinth could be the most truly awe-inspiring. Simple as that.
