You’d imagine the likes of
et al were already self-spoofing enough; but here’s a send-up of them anyway, centred on directionless Danny (Jason Maza), who sees a chance to live up to his dad’s dubious reputation when he crosses paths with legendary hooligan Dex (director/co-writer Nick Nevern).
It’s an affectionate piss-take that clearly knows its source material inside-out; trouble is, it relies too often on lifting other movies’ dialogue verbatim, as if the mere act of referencing were innately hysterical. Factor in the endless ‘gay’ jokes and it’s a not-that-funny old game.
