      It just really feels irresponsible to be feeding craziness. "Always on, Always Connected" is not in anyway if you don't have great internet connection the system won't work. It doesn't mean draconian DRM. Always on, is simply that, it doesn't go into a full powered down state. This is good because that means it'll boot faster. That's always talked about as a great thing for other devices. We rarely shut out phones off. We don't shut down our cable boxes. I can't remember the last time I turned my computer off. Probably some vacation that took over a week. When you combine always on with always connected you get updates of all sorts pushed down. First they can do this when the internet isn't a busy a bonus for the whole world, and you no longer have to wait for these things when you want to play. That's brilliant. Poor PS3 owners cringed at every update. While it wasn't nearly as bad on the 360 getting rid of that wait all together would be really welcome. Again, now where does this indicate you can't play a local game if you don't have a connection. Honestly, journalist should be calling BS on this hysteria not feeding it. The article contending that because the box would always be on and connected means you need to consider it as if you had another high use app running constantly is irresponsible at best. It's not busy sucking up bandwidth just sitting there, in a sleep state. All that bandwidth research would have been a lot better off discussion a rumors that aren't full of FUD. Like the miniXbox. Now you can start talking about playing a multiplayer game on your console, streaming some netflix to your old 360 and reading the lates Gamesradar article on your minixbox and what kind of bandwidth that would take. IDK maybe talk to your IT guy and give folks some pointers on how to set up their router for optimal performance. Maybe warn them about that old laptop with the wifi b adapter crushing their N network, Pull the wire people.

      Heh, something tells me the delay is so that they can alter/remove or otherwise modify the Always online DRM the system probably has, I mean, considering the outrage surrounding always online for the past month, I'd be amazed if Microsoft hasn't notice.

      Not sure about the 1080p comment. You said most, but not 100%, are in 1080p. Yes, most, in fact all of my games, UPSCALE to 1080p, but there are only a handful that are native 1080p, which looks better by the way. We need 100% of games native 1080p not upscaled, as pretty much all of them are upscaled 1080p now. Perhaps not for PS3 as its upscaler's not quite as good but if you have a full HD television it should upscale them anyway with no problem. Also on the graphics subject, we definitely need consistently high frame rates. Also, we need devs to spend more time when they port games from xbox to PS, assuming it'll be the same next gen, otherwise the playstation's graphics will be inferior again despite having the better specs.

      David Houghton, I have said it before and I will merrily say it once again, I love you, and I usually never, ever find it in me to disagree with you. But as for point numbers 28 and 35 (slides 29 and 36 respectively), in which you say "Using analogue sticks to play 2D platformers just isn't the same," and comment on a dearth of platformers by mentioning Braid, Limbo, and Fez; continuing by saying "Don't let Nintendo take all the credit for keeping them alive again..." Come on now, Dave. I know you're better than that. You have heard of a little game called Super Meat Boy, right? And another, not-quite-so-little game called Rayman Origins? Silly Dave. It's okay, you of all people can be excused for being forgetful. I don't hold it against you or anything. :)

      so to conclude... xbox 720 will have a tablet controller, will launch with a 360 game, a dance game and some ports, sound like the Wii U launch to anybody? At least Nintendo won't bend us all over a barrel in 6 months and turn on the no used games feature and charge us £50 every year to go online. It amazes me that xbox was double the cost of the wii out of the box,you then had to buy a wireless router and pay a yearly subscription and for what? Halo and the same games on wii that look a bit nicer! And after 3 years of "ooohhh were all hardcore" the xbox just went down the wii route anyway with kinect.

      I just hope consoles can have no up-scaling and anti-aliasing! the graphics will probably improve but if they upscale and ignore aliasing problems then it will be worthless. PC almost always has options for this even on older games, i feel this is an issue that should have been fixed on consoles this gen. Games like FF XIII and the 2nd one whether or not you like the gameplay and story you have to admit they look gorgeous so I know it is possible this gen. but huge games like say skyrim I would understand they wouldn't have addressed these on current consoles. I think games are great where they are at and next gen if they tweak little issues like this then suspending disbelief will be that much easier!

Video games are the only medium (seriously, name me another one aside from the possible exception of books, which have been around forever) that have the power to resonate emotions in their audience (the player) on an intimate, actually PERSONAL level, owing to their interactivity. I didn't need to tell this to you or anyone who frequents this site. But I felt that I really needed to after reading a statement such as that one. Honestly, you guys have already said stuff in support of this, see: http://www.gamesradar.com/why-the-notion-that-games-need-photoreal-graphics-to-tell-better-emotional-stories-is-backward-nonsense-whatever-2K-boss-says/ A game, or even a freaking motion picture, does not need to even remotely approach "real" or "photoreal" in order elicit strong, impactful emotional resonance in its audience. And as usual, Mr. Houghton, probably my favorite writer, like, ever, is there to support me. He says it better than I do, so you should read that piece of his if you haven't already.

      The kinect sensor is built into the new console itself so the console must be infront of your tv and a distance away to register the player on camera and screen play. So in short its an Xbox 360 upgraded to the fullest for todays standards. Like how i bought a 1 year warrant on my 3DS and they just come out with a 3ds XL witch was in development since they launched the 3ds alone. I took that 1 year warranty and got a full refund <3 walmart employees <3

Also If it were genuine and I was Microsoft I would just buy it and pay the guy extra to keep his mouth shut. If only to close any direct connections to such a negative figure, I mean if he did get it he cant of gotten it normally dont those kind of people have to sign their souls away to non nondisclosure agreements?
