This is the problem with having administrators auctioning off IPs. They go to the highest bidder, not necessarily to the developer that would do the IP most justice. All we can do now though is wait and see what Gearbox do with Homeworld. The first two are fantastic and long overdue for a sequel. I just hope that they don't pull a Sim City on everyone and alienate the fanbase

It's more than 80% an FPS catalogue, so if they don't hire a new team capable of developing this, or even outsource it privately, I don't see it turning out well. And if they go the route of pushing the franchise into the FPS genre, that would probably end poorly as well, I'd imagine, likely ending up as another bland corridor-shooter in spaceships.

Tisk Tisk to Mr. Rubin for not owning up to policies he could have put a stop to or willful ignorance to the same going on underneath him in the hierarchy. Online passes, backlash at egregious DRM and DLC policies, and generally biting the hand that feeds is affecting the whole industry.

I'm glad that at least most of the company get to join an entirely new team, and that they aren't left in the cold, but has the lead developers move to Platinum actually been confirmed yet? Because if not, I'll be sorely disappointed.
But bigger picture, yeah, glad to see they get a second chance; the Darksiders games weren't perfect, but I loved them, and it'd be a shame for the team to be ended so soon.

From the start, I've been saying Darksiders should go to Capcom, But after playing the Rising Demo the other day, Platinum deserve to get their hands on another Franchise they can work their magic on. I mean, maybe if they keep getting other people's franchises to work on to build up their name, their own franchises will finally start selling to people other than me?
