I thought the God of War games were a good dip into surrealism at both ends of the spectrum, I'm surprised they were able to keep them to an M rating (nudity, but act only implied off screen? is that what makes not naughty enough for AO? And the violence... do you have to willfully inflict torture to get AO... wait what about gouging Zeus's eyes out?) Video games are an exercise in make believe, and if you are making believe I don't see why there should be any limits set.

The ESRB is too bloated. Why does it cost thousands of dollars for a few people to watch a video montage of a game and put a "T", "M" or whatever rating on it? It seems as if the ESRB is a business out to make money for itself instead of an industry backed ratings system.
