Full of creepy videos and ominous photography, a semi-professional blog called nohopeleft.com has been makings its rounds. The site smells like viral marketing, generating hype for a possible Resident Evil 6 announcement, we’d guess, given all the Biohazard logos and spoken Chinese.
While a connection to the People’s Republic was recently revealed when a voice actress put “Resident Evil 6” and “Chinese Villager/Zombie” on her resume, the multinational graffiti appearing on the site hints that RE 6 could be a world-wide affair. There’s also several videos of a distressed Chinese woman crying, one of which ends with a date and time: 14.00 PST and 1.19.2012. Perhaps the official announcement will come tomorrow?
Capcom has a penchant these kind of campaigns. You may recall the ones it launched for Dead Rising 2and Resident Evil 5. Still, there’s a chance that this shell-shocked woman is just a Capcom employee who saw the lukewarm reviews for Resident Evil: Mercenaries. Don’t worry lady, we believe that RE 6 will be great.
GamesRadar reached out to Capcom for comment and will update the story if we hear back from them.
