Activision has signed the rights to produce Spider-Man games until the End of the World. Or, more specifically, 2017.
"This agreement allows Activision to continue bringing its own magic and vision to this unique, evergreen property," said CEO Mike Griffith, "and to build on the success that the company has already achieved with the Spider-Man movies."
Griffith's statement seems to hint at there being games beyond movie-specific releases planned, so fans may not have to wait for another film first.
Activision has previously signed up skating legend Tony Hawk until 2015 for its skateboarding game franchise.
