SOCOM II: US Navy Seals Glitches

  • Frostfire - Get in the boxes

    In order to get into the crates and boxes in the level "Frostfire" you must equipt a PMN mine or Claymore. (PMN mines work better). Make sure you have a good 10 seconds of no one seeing you or your team will either boot you, or you'll get shot.

    Walk up to the crate or box with your claymore or PMN mine out and press Triangle to climb. Just as your characters shoulders get above the box (while climbing) press R1 to plant the mine. Your guy will fall off the box and plant the mine. THIS PART IS CRUCIAL!- DONT PRESS ANY BUTTONS WHILE YOUR GUY IS PLANTING THE MINE AND HIS ACTIONS AFTERWARDS! After you plant the mine watch as your guy some-what climbs into the box. then feel free to walk around in your limited space.

    If you walk out you have to do this all over again. Watch out people can lean into the box and throw grenades in. Inorder to see what youre shooting at you gotta zoom in (press up). Happy Glitching!

  • Chain Reaction - Get into the Submarine.

    This glitch is similar to the Frostfire Box Glitch.

    Inorder to get into the submarine in "Chain Reaction" you must equipt a Claymore or PMN Mine (PMN mines are better).

    Go to the bottom floor, and onto the ramp leading to 1 of the 2 loading bays of the submarine (the part of the submarine that acts as a bridge to the other side of the level) While in the loading bay climb on one of the boxes against the wall and look at the roof of the submarine (towards the tall part of the submarine with the ladder). You'll get an option to climb ontop of the submarine. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR CLAYMORE OR PMN MINE OUT! Press triangle to climb. Just as your characters shoulders get above the roof of the submarine press R1 to plant the mine. Your guy will fall through the floor of the submarine and onto the bottom where the submarine rests.

    You'll be able to shoot out of the submarine and they will not be able to shoot in! Just make sure they dont get in as well! Happy Glitching!

    While playing activate your headset and say "intimidate" Your teammates will yell at enemies to try and make them give up.

  • Beat the plane on Mission 5

    Once you've located the ladder to the drug lab, tos your grenades down there to clear it. Go down the ladder and clear out all scum waiting for you. Look in a dark room and pick up the RPG rocket launcher. Order able to place satchel near the barrals.go out the back door of the coke lab. Head up hill until the satchel charge goes of. Clear the hut , then head down hill until you reach the ciff. You should be able to see the plane in the hanger. By this time, the helicopter should be airborne. Ignore it. Blow up the plane with your launcher and they have no chance of escape. Now shoot at the heli until black smoke comes out. It should stop circling you.

  • Easy Win On Embassy Level

    Before your mission get to the armory and assign the silenced M4A1 to your whole fireteam and the any silenced pistol. When you start use the silenced pistol until u get into the embassy( this is important) then switch to the M4 and restrain the embassy workers and take them up to the extraction zone tell them to get down by using the command menu then assemble your fireteam at the top of the stairs on the roof top and just wait for the enemies to come and just gun them down easily, it will be like they are walking into a meat grinder. and then wait for the timer to go down and you win. P.S.-if you used the silenced pistol and silenced M4 you should get some stealth bonus. O and in case you didn't know you can get into the embassy by climbing the boxes on the left side of the embassy and then go through the window.

  • Single Player Hint

    If you've beat the game on Captain or need help with any other Rank, besides Lt. Commander, LT., or Ensign PLEASE READ! When on Captain Rank or on Admiral Rank and you can't get past a level, get your Fireteam the IW-80 A2. If you listen to people online they say the IW is a "noob" gun. So what you buy a game for $50 and you can't use a gun! Bull crap. The IW is powerful and accurate so the Terrorists seem like they stink. If you need help with any level just try the IW, it might work! After getting the OICW, the single player game seems EASY! Also, if you play online, you can play as Feral.

    The hints are mostly for online play.
    Hint: When you are shooting someone that is far away uses Single shot or tap shoot. Don't shoot wild. You have a better chance of getting him if you take your time.
    Hint: For Online play you get points. Right? So if you want extra points do the following.
    1)Terr=Kill Hostage (3 points)
    2)Seal=Escort Hostage (3 points)
    3)Seal=Blow up door with C4 (2 points)
    Locked Players: Every few levels on commander mode you get a new charater you can use online!

  • C4, Silenced help, Ambushes, Gun shots, Stealth, Teamwork, and Recon

    Realize you're the only one that can carry C4 so use it wisely. If you have satchels use those instead of C4 if you can.
    Also use quiet weapons on all of the levels whenever possible. Don't pick up other peoples weapons unless they are essential.
    You're silenced pistol is always best for an ambush or taking on 1 or 2 guys. Use heavier weapons when under heavier fire.
    You can change your gun type from single shot to semi-auto to full auto by pushing the L3 button. It only works with certain guns and never pistols. It will display at the weapon display.
    1 bullet=single shot
    3 bullets=semi-auto
    4 bullets=fully auto
    At the end of each level you're graded on teamwork, always have your team stay with you or help you in some way. Don't go in alone. Dont shoot them and you'll get a 100%.
    And finally, at the end of each level you're rated on stealth. It doesn't matter if you're seen as long as that man does not go anywhere.
    * use sniper scopes for reconing setries, NVG's are very useful so use them.

  • Helpful Hints

    Alright, I've done some experimenting and I've found out the way to get the best mission rating. If you need to capture terrorist or are running low on ammo, flash bangs are your best bet. The only thing you need to do is throw it at their feet (don't get to close to it or it'll effect your sight too). Once the flash bang is thrown it'll detonate after 2 seconds, after that, most enemies will say something to the effect or surrender such as, "Don't shoot I'm dropping my weapon!" or "I surrender! ".Of course fro time to time some won't surrender, in this situation point your crosshairs at them, if it's red, shoot, green, hold fire. It's very important to do this when there are two people because if one surrenders and the other one fights, the fighter will rifle butt the prisoner. Once they drop their gun, go up and restrain them. This and some ambushes will get you an A rating in the mission. Doing this I got 91 stealth,99 accuracy,100 teamwork, and 95 mission completion.

  • Help on Disabling Bombs in Level 6

    Ok to Get Cheats & Help in disabling the bombs faster in level 6. You must complete the bonus objective in level 5. The bonus objective is 2 find the bomb schematic. It is located in the corner of the drug lab. This document states that the RAFB is planning to make and use a bomb. Once you HAVE THAT YOU'LL HAVE A MUCH FASTER TIME DISARMING THE BOMBS IN LEVEL 6

  • Hint for "Strangehold"

    I think the name of the mission I have a hint for is "Stranglehold," but if not, it is the Brazil mission in which you destroy a cocaine lab and an airplane. The most effective way i have found of handling this mission is as follows: First, in the armory before the mission, I recommend choosing the SR-25 SD silenced sniper rifle, and the thermal scope to go with it. This is helpful in the thick jungle because it allows you to spot enemies heat signatures when you normally wouldn't see them. When the mission begins, you must very stealthily eliminate the guards at the first post, so that they do not radio for the enemy helicopter. Beware the guard manning the heavy machine gun turret. Afterwards, when you have gotten the radio frequency, proceed as far to the left as you can. There will be a wandering guard, and then an enemy guard tower with a grenade launcher. Very carefully sneak to a position where you can get a clear shot and kill this guard. Then move carefully to the tower. Position Bravo near the bottom of the tower, then climb up it. Look back the direction you came in the thermal scope, order you team to fire at will if you already haven't, and let the enemies come to you. They should be easy picking. After the stream of enemies stops, head to the chem lab. It will be on the right as you continue, up on a hill. After you blow the chem lab, I suggest you ignore the helicopter that will probably come and just haul ass toward the airstrip. There will be two or three guards to kill as you move down the path to the strip, but then get grenades ready and start throwing them as soon as you see the plane. With luck they'll blow it, at which point you'll have to defend yourself against a bunch of troops on the airstrip. After they are eliminated, move at a medium pace toward the extract, and bravo should handle most of the enemies. When you get under the bridge, have fireteam deploy redsmoke, and just wait for the helicopter to come get you.

  • Tip for Level 2

    When you are at the objective Secure the Warehouse complex You should circle the building from the right hand side until you have gotten to the area where you started then curve back to the left where you see an elevated platform with a pickup truck backed against it from there climb on to the plat form and enter the building ok next you should eliminate all enemies on the first floor if there are any now you go to the back left side of the building climb up the ladder against the wall to get to the rafters on the 2nd floor and kill all tangos (watch out, you are vulnerable to enemies while on the ladder) climb back down the ladder and go across the shipping bridge connecting the two buildings an kill all hostiles on the other side finally move to the extraction point after getting all Intel from both buildings
