Mirror's Edge is one of my favourite games of all time and I've replayed it countless times. And I'm actually glad it's so short because I can actually finish it in one sitting!

Hey, don't forget that Mirrors Edge IS getting a sequel.

"Call of Duty makes Activision approximately $700 trillion a year" what?

    It's called sarcasm, bub.

You mentioned The Forgotten Sands but not Prince of Persia 2008? WHAT!?

Spec Ops: The Line is another great/short game. I over looked it when it released like many did but bought it on a Steam sale and it blew me away how good it was, very well written but the generic title doesn't help it any.

"CoD’s solo modes have had some of the most involved action sequences in gaming ever since the first Modern Warfare" Are you being ignorant? The first couple of CoDs were built solely around massive action packed set pieces and did it better than anything back then and still are better than anything since Modern Warfare. The later iterations feel like the single player's tacked onto a multiplayer game (youtube video of guy not firing a shot in one of the new CoD missions anyone?) Also, echoing the thoughts of Portal. Even the second one leaves you wanting a lot more

There were quite a few omissions. But I think the worse one was Journey

Just saw the correction. Fair enough

I half-expected Portal to be here

I still need to get Asura's Wrath and Vanquish. I do love the Modern Warfare campaigns in CoD, they're some of my favorite story modes to play through. Also I believe you can beat Just Cause 2's story in a couple of hours then go waste 80 hours just blowing random stuff up is a pretty good example I suppose?

Mirror's Edge is one of my favorite games of this generation. So good.

I only just got around to picking that up and it's been like finding a gem. I had no idea about it, knew very little and have been very pleasantly surprised.

it's funny, if I had to choose my top 10 games of all time, I'd be likely to add 3 of these games. Mirrors Edge remains near the top of said list. I still go through it a couple times a year... Not to mention the time trials, it's addicting racing other players times, I can get caught up for hours finding the perfect routes. I haven't bought any of the DLC (don't know why), but the free map Synesthesia is definitely worth the download. Vanquish is definitely a game I hold a bias over. I remember thinking to myself "Man, you need to play as a rocket powered chain smoker who beats the shit out of soviet robots... In space... " And Then POOF! There's Vanquish... No, but really, Vanquish hit the right notes with me, intense, kinda cheesy, and thanks to mission challenges, very re-playable. Asura's Wrath is the DBZ game I wanted growing up... Mind you, I didn't buy it full price, but I knew that was going to be the case since I had first seen the game. I figured it would be decent gameplay filled with crazy, over-the-top cutscenes, but I didn't think it would be as exciting or as fun to play as it was. I'm not a huge fan of QTE's usually, but these ones seemed to work for me, the controls seemed... Relevent, I guess. I mean, I can't think of too many games that gave me the same satisfaction that Asura's Wrath did... basically every boss battle blew my mind (so many B's), These games kicked ass. Hard ass. ... and so it is with dog... errr... god.

Vanquish was one hell of a trip. I'd love to experience that again.
