Sega characters we'd love to see added - Super Smash Bros. Wii U Weekly

Last week, we discussed characters we didn't think would be in the next Super Smash Bros. People were upset. We're not sorry. But we did listen to comments, and decided that now was the time to do another roster prediction article, this time focusing on Sega! Here it is:

Super Smash Bros. Wii U Weekly is GamesRadar's weekly Super Smash Bros. Wii U show. Yeah, we bet you figured that out already. Come back every Wednesday for the latest news, analysis, and speculation about the upcoming brawler.

Sonic had better be in the game. However, I don't necessarily care too much about Knuckles. Don't get me wrong if he's a playable character that would be cool, but if they just made him an assist trophy then that's fine too.

I thought their lord and savior was Master Hand. Anyway, I highly doubt there's going to be more than one SEGA character.

Peach: Sorry little boy. I only date mustachioed men. And come on you guys, you really need to consider move sets more in character predictions. Sonic worked because he was given the only Sonic character and could have things like a spring jump thrown in when they were necessarily linked to his character over another. Knuckles can punch and glide, but what else can he do? I honestly think Shadow would be far more likely especially because it would make more sense story wise to add a villain character from a series you only have the hero from, as well as his move set could be the usual semi clone standard. Shadow would be to Sonic as Wolf would be to Fox. Regardless of what you think of Shadow, it makes way more sense. At least because it would be a Nintendo product you wouldn't have to worry about him being the gun toting version of Shadow... hopefully. Speaking of specific companies though, I would really like to see The Wonderful 101 be included as a character, after another commenter pointed out to me how perfect it would be. I'd really want to see Amaterasu (it had a release on Wii and a sequel on the DS!!!) because I think she would fit perfectly. So what if she was already in another fighting game. Maybe Capcom being a fellow japanese company would be kind enough to allow it? And why haven't you mentioned Golden Sun yet? It's so obvious!

You guys are high if you think there will be more than one Sega character, some Nintendo franchises only have one rep (don't get me started with Metroid and Ridley again) so that'd be a slap in the face.

If any Sega character other than Sonic and (maybe) Knuckles becomes playable, I will be very upset. Try not to forget the game is a celebration of Nintendo.

Gum? you can do better than that, how about Nei or Max, hell even Alex Kidd would fit in better than her. Not that any 3rd party Sega characters have a chance outside of Sonic.

Peach: You won't have to go wait seven years for the princess in this castle

I'm sure you guys made this before it was announced, but technically Persona characters would be available to discuss here now. Yu? Chie? The answer to all of them is no, but Chie kicking Wii Fit Trainer would be pretty fun.

Chie? You mean the White version of Maria? Nah I'm just kidding, Trauma Team has a main character known as Maria whose basically a dark skinned tomboy who wear's Chie's jacket, same company so I couldn't resist :P

You lost me haha. It would be very cool to see Persona card items in the same use as a Poke ball. Will not happen, but would be pretty awesome.

Honestly, I prefer Smash Bros to be a celebration of Nintendo, so I would like if they kept 3rd party characters to a minimum.
