Russell T Davies gets OBE

It looks like Her Royal Highness was amused by that little cameo in "Voyage of the Damned" (and didn't hold some of the remarks about the royal family in "Tooth & Claw" against him...), because Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies is one of the recipients of an OBE in the latest list, for services to drama. Tsk. It should be a ruddy knighthood, surely?

It's a bit of a Who-themed list this year, since other recipients of gongs include Victoria Wood ( inventor of the phrase “ming-mongs” ) and June Brown, who has surely won hers for her fine work in Jon Pertwee story "The Time Warrior", not her role as Dot Cotton in 'Enders...
