Ride Luke's pink speeder

Monday 26 June 2006
The lightsaber-duelling action sequel, Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, will give you the chance to ride, pilot or drive your favourite vehicles from the first - and best - three Star Wars films, all lovingly reproduced in studded digital plastic. The Original Trilogy is due in September for every current console, so take a peek at our new screens to see what's on offer.

You'll be able to jump in and out of vehicles during some levels - unlike in the first Lego Star Wars, which only featured specific vehicle-based levels. Hit the images tab above and you can see Luke being chased by Stormtroopers in a pink-hued speeder, AT-ST walkers being lassoed on the icy world of Hoth and an X-Wing being piloted through an asteroid field.

Above: Being able to pilot the Lego-fied Star Wars vehicles around each level is a genius idea

We've seen some vehicles in action - check out our preview of Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy for details - but we can't wait to get to grips with X-Wings, 'present'-dropping dewbacks and, of course, the Millennium Falcon. See us soon for more Lego Star Wars info.
