What we want

No matter what everybody says about the game, as long as it's sales like this, I don't think they are gonna listen. Just like Michael Bay's movies, no matter how awful it is, as long as it make tons of money, they will still keep pumping it out.

Do another REmake like they did on the Gamecube, but for RE2. That's it, and that's all.

Great idea this. I loved he hell out of the REmake, but the sad thing is that developers wouldn't think new fans would hop on board due to the "old" and "too slow paced" game play. Which really is very disappointing to me.

How about your just an ordinary citizen in the next one, yknow someone who doesnt look at all this madness like its normal. Make a subtle start and then escalate. Make a cool eerie environment like the mansion(re1) and the woods(re4).

They did a good job with RE Revelations. I would like another game like that.

You know what? I wouldn't mind another reboot. You're right. The characters we grew to know and love are now all super heroes. It be great to scale things down again, but with the revamped controls. Although, Resident Evil 1 would need quite a bit of streamlining work. I don't think finding different cranks and crests would jive with this gaming generation.

    Make it not suck.

    wow! such great input!

The franchise should die at this stage. It's just stupid to run it into the ground any more.

I agree pretty much with every point, but that does not mean I didn't love RE6 (hell, I'm still playing it and I got it on it's launch) I guess I was able to look past the over-the-top aspects and the annoying aspects (all pretty much listed in this article.)
  • Eternalenki - October 31, 2012 3:02 p.m.

so what I'm basically getting from this is do what you did with RE2, but make it more RE2 than RE2 was
  • Zeos - October 31, 2012 3:16 p.m.

Or maybe they should just go through with it and REmake now. There is a petition out there for it, everybody sign it now!
  • DEDBURDYgames - October 31, 2012 3:59 p.m.

Although it saddens me to learn of Cliff Blezinskis departure from EPIC games, I think the Resident Evil franchise would benefit greatly from adding Cliff to the team. If he does, I am eager to see the outcome.

I'm all for the REmake of RE2. Apart from graphically though, don't change a thing! RE2 is still a fantastic game, just hard to play through having to stare at the blocky graphics! Anyway, RE7. It should be the game RE4 should have been- all the protaganists of the first three coming together and taking out Umbrella once and for all. Imagine it- the story of Chris, Leon, Jill & Claire, with support from Barry and Carlos, infiltrating Umbrella headquarters for one last showdown with Wesker. A final chapter to the whole saga. Remember the little stories you unlocked at the end of RE3? I got the impression that they were little preludes to the next game but nothing ever came of it. Instead, we've got this overlong, over complicated mess of a story where nothing has really been resolved and things have gotten a bit ridiculous. Tyrant, Nemesis, Mr X, William Birkin's transformed state- they were believable as mutations. Wesker in RE5 and things like the giant fly in 6- they've mutated from one single person? Pfft. And don't get me started on what happened with Jill! Come on Capcom, there's nothing wrong with bringing things to an end!

Steer away from the Hollywood formula, Capcom. Have you not noticed how convoluted and rediculously aweful the RE movies have become? Get away from all the action BS and isolate me in zombie-ridden darkness already for goodness sake!!!
  • Viron - October 31, 2012 6:02 p.m.

I liked the RE5 and RE6. Why because I could play them with friends. The rest of them were just ok, but as soon as me and a friend start laughing at the silliness it becomes greater than any gritty, jump-scare fest with some convoluted plot about a pharmaceutical company making zombies, SOMETHING THAT WOULD OBVIOUSLY WORK FOR EVERY PARTY INVOLVED. All I hear is "go back", I say: move forward, deeper into the crazy. MUCH DEEPER. That being said RE5 had more game breaking craziness that was removed in RE6 for some dumb ass reason.

I think they should go with a cel-shaded look. Also I think the game should just be purely QTEs
  • DeathbyFira - November 1, 2012 12:55 a.m.

Bring back Billy that's all i want lol
