Pulp Idol deadline approaches

Time is running out for new short story writers

Hoping to enter this year's short SF story writing competition? Pulp Idol, in association with Gollancz, is approaching the final furlong - the deadline for entries is tomorrow at midnight.

At that point, all the stories submitted will be sorted and mulled over, with judges from the SFX reviews team and the Gollancz publishing team aiming to pick a final winner (plus ten runners-up) who'll be published this autumn. The Pulp Idol 2007 book will have a print run of about 50,000 and be given away on UK news-stands. Good exposure for up-and-coming writers, yes?

So don't miss out! If there's a story you're writing, get it finished and email it to SFX in the next day. Details of the rules are here .
