PS4 and Killzone: Shadow Fall demoed on Jimmy Fallon Show

More gameplay, clearly in real-time

The first hands-on with PlayStation 4 has been claimed by Jimmy Fallon of US late-night TV fame. Banishing any doubts over the real-time nature of Killzone: Shadow Fall's reveal demo, the game is clearly being played by the panel (complete with some awkward floor-staring moments). The video is below but be warned: There's a painful joke about the Share Button.

Clearly, deaths had been disabled for this demonstration, but on-screen buttons prompts, climbing, melee kills and slow-motion bullet time commands are all visible and working.

This is painful to watch. At least it was confirmed that ps4 was "supercharged".

It's kind of sad that we all (myself included) entertained the possibility that Sony might have been faking a guy playing Killzone at the original announcement. Worse, we weren't unjustified in thinking so. Video games can be a weird industry sometimes...

Thank god we got five minutes of excited screaming on broadcast late night television from "Real gamer Jimmy Fallon" and not an actual preview form the actual Gamez Journalologists at GamesRadar.

    Most definitely scripted.

Even though I found it hilarious when he handed over the controller; I was quite surprised by how much damage he took. Like when he started shooting the air conditioning I was certain he was going get a game over but it seemed like he soaked all the bullets and that the enemies stopped shooting at him. However I could over-analysising this and maybe they put it on the lower difficulty for the poor guy.

Most demos are done in god mode.

Player death was disabled during the demo.

dude are you retarded? obv god mode was on for the demo. he was getting knifed in the face by an enemy while simultaneously getting hammered by 12 different gunmen. I hope u were joking otherwise ask your mom if she drank while she was pregnant

if that was a normal game mode, he would have been dead on that staircase as soon as he was handed the controller. in that video, Id say he would have died at least 15 times. it would have been 3-5 seconds of actual gameplay between "game over" screens and reloading savegames

First off, isn't it a bit excessive to say I'm retarded and that my mother drank. I mean if "I dalke lik dis" I would maybe understand but all I did was state something I noticed. Secondly, I said I thought I was over-analysing the video however it is pretty obvious that God mode is on in these kind of demo's and I should have known this for the video since it would get boring seeing this guy die several times so that was my fault. Finally you seem to be calling me retarded for not knowing God mode was on even though in my comment I said "put it on the lower difficulty for the poor guy" which God mode is technically the easiest difficulty of all.

I really wasn't expecting him to hand the controller over. Proves it isn't target footage. Game looks better than I initially gave it credit for. Also, I like Fallon, but he doesn't seem to be the best at improv.

I have to say, hooray for inept talk show hosts! I mean, seriously, when the demo was played at first by the guerrilla games employee, it looked way too similar to what was shown in the Sony presentation, but as soon as they gave it to Fallon... That kind of flailing and completely playing it wrong definitely showed it was genuine in a way a professional player could never demonstrate XD

Anthony Anderson has lost a lot of weight. Good for him!

This was actually really cool and funny, I saw the demo the other night at the sony event and then on Jimmy Kimmel thought the guy was faking that he was playing and they were just showing the same demo until they handed the controller over to Jimmy and he actually got a dope kill followed by the other guy shooting at the ceiling and Air condition unit. I am sooo pumped for Killzone Shadow Fall
