Sega Rally is hands down the most arcade-like title we've yet seen on the PlayStation 3. From the simple, chunky presentation to the narrow courses from which it's nigh impossible to stray, everything feels authentic. It's almost like having a shrunken sit-down coin-op cabinet at home on your shiny new console. In fact, all it would take to turn this into arcade perfection would be a countdown timer at the top of the screen that mocks you with every passing moment.

Those looking for modding aspects, in-depth Career modes or complex telemetry options and vehicle set-ups will all be disappointed at the lack of freedom to do anything that isn't racing here. But in this me-too world where every two-bit developer is filling their games with any nonsensically complicated element going, this streamlined approach to racing is extremely welcome, especially given the extra focus this lack of confusion puts on the most important part of the game - the racing itself.
