Pokemon Quiz

Woot! 90%, Thats an "A" in my book! Aw, Pokemon, so many great memories... XD
  • tehtimeisnow - October 7, 2012 5:17 p.m.

I can't believe I only got 5 correct. I've been playing Pokemon since the original (I had blue version). Well, I guess there's still more learning for me. Great quiz by the way; I hope Gamesradar does more of these.
  • Person5 - October 7, 2012 12:18 p.m.

5 wrong? something is wrong with me apperently.
  • slimjim441 - October 6, 2012 8:57 p.m.

2 wrong, but one involved 5th gen cretin and the other was about some kid that no one cares about, so I guess I win.
  • Smash_Bro - October 6, 2012 7:42 p.m.

Damn, two wrong... Who knew PStadium came out before the TCG game? I would've only been 3 years old in '98, anyway. And for some reason, I thought that G/S sold better than R/B. Second Gen just seemed more popular.
  • GameManiac - October 6, 2012 7:07 p.m.

    7/10. Good enough for me.
  • beemoh - October 6, 2012 6:40 a.m.

Liked this, but it needs to be one big quiz, rather than ten small ones.
  • JarkayColt - October 6, 2012 4:24 a.m.

Awesome, I got 100%! Although admittedly I didn't know for sure which game sold the most copies, so that was a logical guess based on the system and time involved. IIRC B&W smashed series release records but hasn't been out as long as the others by comparison, so it can't really have sold the most (yet.) Also the picture on Q3...the most cryptic clue I've ever seen. </sarcasm>
  • LordsOfTechno - October 6, 2012 4:07 a.m.

I managed to get 8/10 as I didn't realise that Red & Blue were still the best selling; that and I thought that Ash was 12 not 10 (by the way, is he still 10 years old in the anime?).
  • JarkayColt - October 6, 2012 4:35 a.m.

Most people just assumed Ash aged ever so slightly during the RSE/DP era (12, 14, take your pick) but B&W created a kind of pseudoparadox by confirming he's still ten. So one year on the Pokémon world must be like at LEAST 14 Earth years...
  • ChaosEternal - October 6, 2012 11:48 a.m.

Wait, things get weirder. In the Pikachu short for the 3rd Movie, Ash was busy setting up a party to celebrate them being together on their journey for a year. 0.0 Oh, lol, my CAPTCHA's second word was temporal. Is it trying to tell us something? Is it saying Dialga is involved in this? Give us your knowledge CAPTCHA!
  • Hobogonigal - October 6, 2012 4 a.m.

[SPOILERS] I was doing great until you pulled the real life stuff in. Ray Rizzo?! Come on, who has a name like that!!! Oh well, great quiz GR and I got 9/10
  • Churchy99 - October 6, 2012 1:11 a.m.

I got 8/10 so I'm happy. My memory is hazy on the order of the earliest games so I thought the Trading Card Video Game came next! Also I don't follow the Pokemon Championships! Ahhh...I still remember the day when me and my brother picked up Red and Blue. It was my longest single gaming session at around 15 hours!
  • iluvpkmnmonday - October 5, 2012 9:17 p.m.

8/10 here. Missed the best selling generation and the championship winner. No surprise on the latter since I don't follow the world championships.
  • Elgyem - October 5, 2012 8:37 p.m.

8/10. Dang, GR, you really pulled out the stops on this one.
  • AshLynx - October 5, 2012 7:56 p.m.

Only one I got wrong was which one sold the best. I feel like I usually hear that each one sells better than the last one, apparently not.
  • ObliqueZombie - October 5, 2012 6:24 p.m.

Q1. 1996, correct. Q2. Pokemon Trading Card Game, incorrect. I didn't think Stadium came so soon! :( Q3. Omanyte, correct. Q4. Shigeru Miyamoto, incorrect. They all start to sound the same to me--which is one reason why I want to take Japanese, to clear that up--, but google searching Miyamoto's name made me super facepalm. Q5. Gold and Silver, incorrect. I dunno, I thought that sequelitis would've struck and everyone rushed to get the newest hit Pokemon game. Q6. 649, correct. Q7. Jeremiah Fan, incorrect. I never would've gotten that right, but Ray Rizzo sounds familiar now. Q8. Wailord, correct. Q9. Joltik, correct. Q10. 10-years-old, correct. He still is. 7/10, not bad. Not knowing the creator is a bit embarrassing, but the rest are (in my eyes) acceptable to miss. ;) More quizzes GR, please!
  • Silverstone - October 5, 2012 4:30 p.m.

Got about 5 out of 10. I guess that's what I get for not playing Pokemon past Generation two...
  • ThatGamerDude - October 5, 2012 4:09 p.m.

100% Baby! Crap I need to stop playing Pokemon (of course I won't)!
  • J-Fid - October 5, 2012 3:08 p.m.

So obvious that this week's quiz was on Pokemon. An easy 10/10 for me. Oh, and Shaymin is spelled wrong on slide 10 (unless that was intentional).
