New Mass Effect 2 DLC announced, story to focus on Liara

Lair of the Shadow Broker finds Shepard and Liara joining forces

A new DLC pack for Mass Effect 2 has just been announced on BioWare’s official Mass Effect site. Titled ‘Lair of the Shadow Broker,’ the new mission pack finds Shepard and Liara joining forces.

“Two years ago, Commander Shepard died and Liara T'Soni fought in a desperate struggle against the Shadow Broker to recover her former Commander. Now that Shepard is back, it's time to even the score,” says BioWare.

No release date for Lair of the Shadow Broker has been announced, but we do have three new screens for you to check out.

    I love it when I'm right. I said this was going to happen MONTHS back and everyone thought I was just being stupid, now look! People should learn to listen to someone who calls herself 'Soren Alenko' whenever she says something about Mass Effect.

    This is badass, I'm glad the rumors were true! I can't wait for this but kind of disappointed we'll probably have no dialogue tree aka Zaeed/Kasumi.

    It'll be interesting to see if your decision regarding your former encounter with the Shadow Broker in ME 1 will play into the story of this DLC. That was one of the few decisions from the first game that didn't have a payoff in Mass Effect 2, so hopefully we'll get some resolution there.

    Mass Effect is the only game where I buy EVERY single piece of DLC that they release! Can't wait!

    I just hope it's better than Overlord, that was disappointing.

    cool! i always thought that the shadow broker stuff would be resolved in the 3rd game, hopefully they kidnap or kill Liara give you a great incentive to get revenge in the 3rd game. hopefully there will be lots of conversations about the old team or Liara will become a perminant fixture on the new Normandy, cant wait till she finds out that i bonked Jacob :)
