New Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes promos show the impact of Simian Flu: watch now

Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes has released a trio of teasers showing the terrible effects wrought on human society by the outbreak of the Simian Flu pandemic that began at the end of the last film.

The new film is set some ten years down the line, with humanity having been all but wiped out by the devastating flu that has left Caesar and his chums as the dominant species.

The new promos don't actually reveal any new footage from the film, but instead paint a picture of an abandoned London, New York and San Francisco falling into disrepair and decay.

Take a look at the new promos, below…

Widespread death and destruction looks to be on the cards then, but even worse than that, the London Eye appears to have rotted away! Boris will be heartbroken.

Directed by Matt Reeves and co-starring Gary Oldman, Andy Serkis and Keri Russell, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes will open in the UK on 17 July 2014.
