The Uncharted series has become a benchmark of quality on PlayStation, but even Naughty Dog games glitch out occasionally - just take the demos of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End at the PlayStation Experience last December and E3 back in June this year. It's pretty awkward for those of us watching live, but what's it like for the developer's themselves?
In the latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine, co-director Neil Druckmann reveals that fear of disaster is always there - whether you're the one on stage with the DualShock 4 in your hand or sat in the crowd itself. "Luckily I’m not on stage like Bruce [Straley, co-director] is," confides Druckmann. "I’m in the audience. But yeah, your stomach drops and you’re freaking out, because you know you work so hard on this thing but the game is not done, so you know that there are still these bugs in there. You’re always so nervous because something can go wrong, and then when it does, first of all you think ‘Can we even play the rest of this?’ You don’t know what’s going to happen."
