Dont be fooled people. GameStop is receiving BRAND new copies of Xenoblade and Metroid Prime Trilogy and selling them as USED! They are tearing off the plastic and selling them as used so they can charge more than a new copy would cost. THESE 2 new games will not increase in price indefinitely! Sell them while you can! GameStop is pretending they are vintage and selling them as so, but in reality they have tons of new copies....these games are worth a lot because the public believes they are rare, but they are not! They were rare a year ago, but they are not anymore! GameStop is lying, pretending they are vintage because they have a monopoloy on Xenoblade Chronicles because they are the only retailer that will receive new copies! There are tons of excess new copies that have yet to be sold! On Black Friday I thought I got a steal, it was buy 2 get one free on used games....got 2 copies of xenoblade and 1 copy of trilgogy for $80! Thought I just ripped off the most evil videogame retailer, but realized that yet again I was the one getting ripped off....opened them all up, the discs were perfect, instruction manuals were in perfect condition, even still had the nintendo club codes, everything was mint!..I thought "hmm that is strange....all 3 of these "vintage games" appear to be brand new and unused". Got online, did my research, and discovered the cold hard facts that GameStop was recieving new copies of these games and selling them for $60 usually instead of the suggested retail price of $50 because they are allowed to sell a game above its suggested retail price if it is used! Not only are they using a deceptive tactic to make an extra $10 on a game, but they are also manipulating people that are into rare videogames into believing that these 2 games are rarer than they are! Some poor people are paying over $60 on a game like Xenoblade, but in only a few years this game will be worth diddly squat because EVENTUALLY GameStop will stop selling this game when they stop selling Wii games, and it will end up in a value bin for $5 and drasticly reduce the value of this game when it becomes apparent in the collector's scene that there are way more copies of this game around than there are thought to be! Sold 2 of these games as fast as possible when I found out because I knew they will drop in price eventually by a lot once the public wakes up an realizes that GameStop is manipulating the public into thinking that these games are rare, vintage, and out of print.

Um, what makes you think that they do that?? Gamestop can't do that anyway. People would have found out by now even if they were, because people talk. And they post. And they'd sue. They would get more out of telling people about it than hiding it. Sorry you wasted the space of the comment section.. -___-

I had the same thing happen with a copy of Tales of the Abyss, the Gamestop closest to me had a new copy (which I wanted for the nintendo code), and after it Christmas it randomly disappeared, but I noted they had it used. So when I went to Gamestop I found it a little bit odd that had a USED copy of Tales of the Abyss in the CASE. I was happy they had it and bought the game of course, I was a little shocked to find the code and that when I booted up the game there weren't any prior saved games. I didn't want to believe Gamestop was doing this with games but... It's kind of hard to deny the truth when it stares you in the face.

WTF? Metroid Prime trilogy sells at GameStop for 50 bucks.

You may want to hold on to your Tatsunoko vs. Capcom UAS copies. Those babies are getting rarer and harder to find.

I Have A PAL Version (Uk Version) Is That Rare? If It Is I Bought It New For £10
  • gopikmin - December 27, 2013 9:46 p.m.

it'll be in a few years. Capcom lost rights to Tatsunoko so they can't make it anymore and it is a pretty well-liked game. Demand will be rising in a few years time

I'm presently playing through Metroid Prime Trilogy. I'm actually somewhat surprised that I won that game on an auction in eBay. It was a bundle with Metroid Prime Trilogy and Metroid: Other M. Both games were brand new, and even contained their pre-order bonuses. I won them both for only $80.

This is ridiculous. I don't care how rare a game is. If it sucks. It's worthless. Other people can waste their money on crap.....because L@@K..it's RARE!!!

I've got DBZ, and my friend has One Piece. No point of selling the DBZ game, it's (imo) the best one ever, at least in terms of fan service.
  • RonF - November 26, 2013 6:19 p.m.

I still have Xenoblade Chronicles, Fire Emblem, Skyward Sword, and Metroid Prime Trilogy. Some of the best games I've ever played. I used to have F-1, which was pretty good by the time it was released.

I just got a copy of Skyward Sword, and picked up Metroid Trilogy and Xenoblade when Gamestop had a buy two get one free going (I grabbed Mario Galaxy 2 for my freebie). These games are a bit pricey...but they got nothing on my Saturn collection. I recently discovered that Burning Rangers is selling (USED!!!!) for over a hundred dollars these days....

You're telling me Walk It Out ISN'T set to Unk's Walk it Out?
  • Manguy17 - November 26, 2013 4:43 p.m.

Nice, I've got the DBZ game, Skyward sword and Prime trilogy. Dont intend on selling them though, but it;s nice to know they are valuable...i guess.
  • clint-welding - November 26, 2013 4:42 p.m.

I hate all that value crap. Video games should never cost anything more than the price they originally were released on, either same price or less, but never more.

Never gonna lose that Gold Wiimote its my precious

So you guys added Godzilla Unleashed to the list. Good. "This game supports up to 4 players in monster-bashing action, with three main kaiju factions and loads of monsters to choose from, including the original 1954 Godzilla that started it all." In name only. It barely looks like 1954 Godzilla. The monster looks like a combination of all the Godzilla suits in the Showa era of movies, resembling more like the Godzilla suits in the later movies. And if they REALLY wanted to be accurate, they would have made him brown, since the original Godzilla suit was colored brown but appeared dark grey in the movie for obvious reasons. And why did they give him sound effects from later movies? That was just stupid... I currently own two games on this list, but I had Tenkaichi 3 for a brief amount of time. I bought it used from Gamestop, but the disk was so damaged that I had the hardest time playing it, so I returned it. Hate it when that happens.
