Modern Warfare 2 in 90 seconds

Many see the campaign portion of a Call of Duty game as a warm up for multiplayer, a mere precursor to the wanton unleashing of molten buckets of whoop-ass onto the pathetically incompetent gaming public. In the event you’ve skipped the campaign entirely, or didn’t follow the story, or just have an insatiable thirst for spoilers, we’ve whittled Modern Warfare 2’s plot down to the essential 90 seconds. But be advised, we DID NOT skip the “potentially disturbing” mission. You’ll see the controversial imagery presented in full color in this video. Enjoy!

hm in my eyes Shepard>Makarov Coz he is probably the only other one who knew Shepards dastardly evil plan HE DID tell that PVT.ALLEN was the rat in the first place didn't he?

@Mirako Price Launched the Nuke, then detonated it in the upper atmosphere, causing only the EMP blast to reach Earth. When nukes go off, a large EMP blast goes off with it.

@bugmenot: Wow. Just wow. The movie loads for all of us, and I'm sorry your computer can't load it. But blaming the site, spyware, and the universe at large just makes you... wow.

Alright, I think I can sum up all the confusing parts. Exposition - Bla bla - Allen shot - bla bla - Price launches a nuke. Side effect of said nuke is an EMP - That is, the emp is part of the nuke - And he detonates it ABOVE the city, knocking out helicopters, planes, and space stations. Shepherd wants Price out of the way for what he knows (When you first find Price in the Gulag, listen to Shepherd's connotation on his words), and can only accomplish this by A. getting Price KIA or B. Eliminating 141. But Price and 141 are just too damn good, so Shepherd has to eliminate the squad to keep Price out of the picture and make himself a hero, for personal gain. Then, with the elimination of Makarov and the newly 'rebel' 141, he would be free to pursue his political agenda. FIN. In my opinion, great storyline, once you were able to digest it and all.

Oh... Just read up that a Nuclear Blast emits an EMP, My bad
  • Spartan11794 - November 15, 2009 10:06 p.m.

Shepherd wanted to "write history" and he would write lies, and by killing the 141 no one could contradict him

The thing about the nuke is that this is modern warfare and I think Price decided its time to start over at square 1. One big reset button lol. But yea GR should have a wtf MW2 plot article! Makarov basically shifted into Shepard, I mean you didn't have the time to go after one since you were going after the other in the end.

The stupid video doesn't even play on this crappy adware/malware/spyware infested site. Why didn't you make it even worthless by making it IE only, and wrapping it up some more in Java, and than in ActiveX, and than Digitally License ???? You stupid fucknitz, no wonder you have no client base.

Yep, make no sense at all. The end.
  • Mirako - November 14, 2009 8:56 p.m.

Call me picky but Price didn't detonate an EMP, He fired a nuke at America then the government had to detonate an EMP to stop it. This convinced the Americans to help Shepherd in catching Makarov. Well at least that's what makes sense to me.
  • Ded - November 14, 2009 6:36 p.m.

From what I got, Shepherd was the one behind the war in the first place, to gain many more recruits for the military. That's why he wanted the intel before taking out anyone who may have seen it (Task Force 141). Maybe..
  • sexyman500 - November 14, 2009 8:47 a.m.

well he lost 30,000 men 5 years ago when they where at afghan (nuke I'm guessing) and that he becomes a war hero and that thousands of more people would join the army like he says at the end of the vid, also i want to see an Australian side for once!
