Changing to metal gear rising is probably for the best seeing as the solid (Snake) feel is evidently gone. Not that i had a problem with the old dev, but being on Xbox, I wouldn't know firsthand, so Platinum gives me solid faith in the game.

Beside the characters, the name, and RAY, it doesn't even look like the MGS universe, really, and that Sonic-esque rock music is making me think it's headed in a bad direction, but it looks like it'd be ridiculously fun. Hey, at least now this trailer will probably get the game lots of attention, for better or worse.

i'm probably still gonna call it Metal Gear Solid: Rising

    Fuck this game now.

You've evidently never played a platinum game before, have you? I pity you, seriously.
  • flare149 - December 10, 2011 2:32 p.m. looks like an iOS knock-off game. None of it looked remotely reminiscent of Metal Gear, especially how the enemies all lined up next to Raiden to basically be slaughtered. The enemy AI just looks so poor.

This looks nothing like an metal gear game... But I trust platinum to make the game fun.

OH GOD YES> Admittedly, Revengeance is a F*CKING STUPID word, but Metal Gear Rising is much more fluid than Metal Gear Solid: Rising, and the move to Platinum can ONLY be a good thing. Bayonetta was exquisite, with the kind of fast-paced action and insane battles that Rising looks like it wants. If anyone can do it, Platinum can.

Awesome that it's coming out, but because it's platinum, it will never sell. Thanks a lot gaming public, (in advance).

It does have the mgs name, and with the new name i think it may be a new metal gear series
