Marvel vs Capcom 3: Seth Killian talks Spidey, X-23, Tron Bonne and Wesker

Marvel vs Capcom 3 cannot be accurately summarized in words - it's a blisteringly paced, 3-on-3 fighting extravaganza that needs to be seen in motion to be fully appreciated. So rather than post another text-heavy account of how the new characters look and play, we headed down to Capcom and had expert street fighter Seth Killian give us the real dirt on X-23, Wesker, Tron Bonne and everyone's favorite (only?) wall-crawler, Spider-Man.

X-23 (NYX #3)

Above: Seth is particularly excited about X-23 - she's not just a girl Wolverine!

Tron Bonne (Mega Man Legends)

Above: Tron Bonne returns from MvC2 with new abilities and better all-around options than her prior appearance

Wesker (Resident Evil 5 version)

Above: Wesker has tons of tricks, notably a pesky teleporting move

Spider-Man (Amazing Fantasy #15)

Above: Spider-Man has been slightly altered to feel "more Spidey-ish," which includes a new web zipline move

Direct feed matches

Above: No talkin', just fightin'. Look at Dante rack up those combos!

Above: Another no-nonsense match with a little Wolverine vs X-23 action

MvC3 is still down for a 2011 release for PS3/360, which leaves plenty of time for even more character reveals. We got Amaterasu, so may we now plead and beg for Vanessa Schneider?

It looks so amazing! and the reporters in the parade level are hilarious. But im still waiting for Nightcrawler on the Marvel side!
  • d3v - October 11, 2010 2:21 a.m.

They forgot to mention Wesker's super secret ability. That is to magically get his shades back at will, just like in the victory screen.

@Rubberducky yeah man Dredd would be epic! there should be a hunter from the monster hunter games or at least a stage based on that with a hunter fighting a Tigrex or another large monster in the background

@Mexicutioner I dunno... I agree with Brett. P.N.03 was a good game idea, but it was thrown together with bad controls and mediocre gameplay. But including Vanessa in MvC3 would make use of her unique suit design, and actually make her as acrobatic as she was meant to be. Also... Who could deny DAT ASS?
  • Rubberducky - October 9, 2010 2:38 a.m.

Maybe they'll stick Judge Dredd in as a hidden character! That would rock!
  • Mexicutioner - October 9, 2010 12:31 a.m.

@maydae503 Bayonetta was published by Sega. I really wish Capcom did own it though.
  • Mexicutioner - October 9, 2010 12:29 a.m.

"Clicks on the link to Vanessa Schneider...." "Then looks at who wrote the article....." Ah, now it makes sense....
  • batmanboy11 - October 9, 2010 12:04 a.m.

    So excited.
  • maydae503 - October 8, 2010 11:59 p.m.

they need to add Bayonetta. Nightcrawler would be cool too.
  • JayBeat - October 8, 2010 11:35 p.m.

    Looking perfect.
  • KaiokenKid - October 8, 2010 11:12 p.m.

@GamesradarBrettElston: Thanks. Good to see its looking awesome. Im asking because I have a Fightstick on PS3, so I have a vested interest in that version coming out good over there compared to my 360.
  • CHAINSAWhaxor - October 8, 2010 10:33 p.m.

PS3 master race! JK, get hype for Wesker, yo! Where's mah Barry Burton, all my friends really want him in there(despite how unlikely that is)
  • GamesRadarBrettElston - October 8, 2010 10:15 p.m.

These are all running on PS3s, early/incomplete builds of the game.
  • KaiokenKid - October 8, 2010 10:09 p.m.

Are these gameplay videos running on console hardware or Arcade Cabinets? I cant tell what paltform because these videos never have button prompts anywhere.
