We’ll entertain all your gripes and criticisms about Marvel vs Capcom 3, but one complaint we simply won’t allow is anything pertaining to the new music. Do you have any idea how good you've got it? Oh... you haven’t heard the music in Marvel vs. Capcom 2?! An acapella Nickleback song would’ve been an improvement over the biodigital, Mario Paint jazz ensemble that scored two world’s fate ten years ago. But guess what? Now we kinda miss it… BACK IT GOES!

Honestly, I like the MvC3 music. Particularly the Deadpool and the Dante rock bits.

MvC2 music is wonderful, I love jazzy shit. But I get the feeling it doesn't really fit that well into MvC3, or maybe you guys just have it turned up louder than I usually have it in relation to the fight sounds.

The marvel 3 music is great except for x-23's theme which feels more out of place than marvel 2 music.

Hahaha that was brilliant. I do think the MvC 3 music is an improvement with She-Hulk and Tron Bonne's them being the best.

Yeah, I loved the jazz. Got me in the groove and kept me relaxed at the same time. Still has one of the best soundtracks of any arcade fighter I've played. And yeah, NightCrawler, Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters would have made a cool level for MvC3. the Danger Room is inside the school, but it isn't the same.

One thing I'm glad they got rid of was those awful backgrounds in 2. Now they actually have context. I was a little disappointed with the lack of backgrounds though. I hope they release some free DLC with an Okami background, a Viewtiful Joe one, and maybe one at Xavier's school, with a bunch of cameos in the background.

@Ridureyu EXACTLY! MvC2's music is actually pretty damned good, almost ridiculously excellent, I dare say. At least in a nostalgic, of-the-era kinda way. But it's also one of the most bizarre accompaniments I've ever heard in the genre, you even could say it's too relaxing. It's biggest crime is essentially being the silliest music ever heard in a fighting game. At worst, it's annoying, but only after you consider that it was going to be heard by so many people, so many (MANY!) times, for a period of ten years. I imagine if Modern Warfare maps had music, we'd probably be making fun of it mercilessly a decade later.

What's wrong with the (my name for it) Gonna Take You For Another Ride? Just kidding. I love the MvC 2 muzak, except for the dreaded you-know-what. I also think the continue theme starts with Micheal Jackson. Listen to it, and you will agree.

The MVC2 music is nice music, but HORRIBLE AWFUL fighting game music. It's like scoring a Survival Horror game with Yackety Sax.

The sad thing is I really, really like the opening song from MvC2. The jazzy little piece that precedes the ear raping that is Take You For A Ride. If only there were a way to isolate that song in particular on the game.

I LOVE the MvC 2 music! Capcom seriously need to make some DLC that puts that music into the game instead of charging $5 for 6 costumes. BEST MUSIC EVAR!

I don't think the MvC2 music is all THAT bad, it's just really out of place and has bizarre "singing" (You've got haaard edge!!) . The MvC3 music however is awesome.
