Leonard Nimoy Says Goodbye To Acting

He won’t be in the Star Trek film and his final role will be in Fringe

“I want to get off the stage. Also, I don’t think it would be fair to Zachary Quinto,” Nimoy graciously says of the actor who’s taken over the mantle of Spock. “He’s a terrific actor, he looks the part, and it’s time to give him some space. And I’m very flattered the character will continue. I’ve been doing this professionally for 60 years. I love the idea of going out on a positive note. I’ve had a great, great time.”

Thank you, Mr Nimoy. Live long and prosper. It’s been a pleasure watching you.

(* No, we won’t stop banging on about it until you’re all watching it.)
