Here's some new screens from Hard Reset: Extended Edition, the bigger-value edition of Kalypso Media's indie Rage-killer from last year. The “Extended” bit refers to the game's five new levels, which Kalypso reckons ought to offer around two hours' gameplay to the title's length.

In addition to the new campaign levels, Hard Reset: Extended Edition also offers new Survival levels, an improved graphics engine, new enemies and a new backstory. Being as our biggest gripes about the 8/10-rated original revolved around the game's presentation and bitch-hard difficulty, consider the Extended Edition a likely fix... and a further challenge.

Guys, you should do your fucking research. Flying Wild Hog is going to sell the new levels on Steam as an expansion. It's true. Now read the Steam forums and fuck off.

Maybe you're just the only one bored enough to dive into the Steam forums looking for an official post about a mediocre game for something that should have been stamped on the fucking new screens.

So glad I pre-purchased the original from Steam to support a new studio trying to make a name for themselves. Oh wait nevermind. Fuck you guys.

They're going to sell the extra levels as an expansion if you already have the game. The community manager confirmed this himself on the Steam forums. Do your research. It helps.

Oh yes, why didn't I dig through forums to see what should have been a major bulletin in the press release? That would have helped me so much!

Sorry. It just pisses me off when I know something other people don't. Especially when it comes to video games.

so instead of supporting/tweaking/fixing their game and releasing DLC for it, they would rather re-release a game that's not even a year old for what I'm guessing will be the same price of the original with only about $10 worth of extra's? and people complain about overpriced DLC...

I imagine it will be hard for people who purchased the original not to feel shortchanged by the fact that the original release was only a few months ago.

I got it for 5 bucks for the steam sale, so I wouldn't feel that way.

During, not for. Damn the inability to edit after posting!
