The Xbox has been available for 7 years now. If they ban it, tough cookies.

So what you're saying is that if it were the other way round and the ban was on Sony, you'd be happy for Obama to let it fly, cause Sony aren't an American company? Jingoism may have been cool in the early 1900s but I'm pretty sure the world's changed slightly since then.

patriotism never dies or fades, it is forever in those that love thier country.
  • CrashmanX - May 23, 2012 10:43 a.m.

My friend that is not patriotism. That is in fact jingoism. You're not standing up for what this country believes in, you're standing up for something because dern it, it's amurican. America does not believe in theft in any form, that includes copyright infringement. Granted I can say that these terms seem a bit harsh given that I doubt many even knew Xbox controllers or system even contained Motorola tech, I believe the point remains.
  • Pwnage19 - May 23, 2012 11:21 a.m.

Do you actually think this guy knows what jingoism is? Haha. But the fact that people would actually vote for Romney because of an Xbox ban is hysterical.

I think its weird, but a single choice a president or political figure makes is a judge of character.
  • therawski - May 23, 2012 8:30 a.m.

It's actually proven that sentences in all capital letters is harder to read when the text size is small and that large text is easier to read when it is all in capital letters. So when I attempted to read your comment I stopped about 7 words in. So next time you want to say something, just put it on billboard, thx.

  • EdDeRs1 - May 23, 2012 7:53 a.m.

FINALY! something to unite all gamers! even the Sony and Nintendo ones, for it the Xbox is banned, where will it stop? GAMERS ASSEMBLE! WE SHALL TAKE AMERICA BY FORCE!!! FREE THE XBOX 360!!! SECURE OUR FUTURE AS THE ONLY THING KEEPING THE WORLDS ECCONAMY AFLOAT!!!! (only is Obama dosent save the Xbox himself)
  • BladedFalcon - May 23, 2012 7:22 a.m.

Oh, those silly money grubbing companies, with their silly money grubbing disputes. This is mildly amusing, but only because I'm positive things wouldn't get idiotic enough to have the 360 be ultimately banned.
  • Matt Hughes - May 23, 2012 6:34 a.m.

What is this jarnalizm? Actually, this is really interesting. Thanks for the article.
  • mattdark - May 23, 2012 6:21 a.m.

'Finally, to add insult to injury, when Microsoft argued that consumers would be forced to fall back on PlayStation and Wii consoles, the judge said that Sony and Nintendo were perfectly capable of meeting demand. Ouch.' I just picture this scene, only with kevin-butler bursting in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66njeIMpv5U
  • kevin-mercado - May 23, 2012 7:49 a.m.

So he's okay with supporting foreign companies but not an American company & he still hold a judgeship. talk about be unamerican
  • bebl09 - May 23, 2012 8:23 a.m.

Being a judge has nothing to do with being American and supporting American companies, it's about being impartial and having a complete knowledge of the necessary law. Don't be an idiot.
  • mattdark - May 23, 2012 2:11 p.m.

Common sense doesnt stop some people from being stupid...
  • Blaastoid - May 23, 2012 5:47 a.m.

  • Turtman - May 23, 2012 4:45 a.m.

Please ban this inferior console! Obama, you are our only hope. Lay down the ban hammer!
