Hugo-nominated author writing Crysis book

Del Rey books will be publishing Crysis: Legion this March. Penned by Hugo Nominated author, Peter Watts, the story will center directly on the narrative of the upcoming Crysis 2.

No longer content with ambiguous Pacific Islands, aliens have invaded one of the most populous cities on Earth: New York. As if that weren’t bad enough, a plague (that is likely not unrelated) is now ravaging the inhabitants of Earth. So how can humanity hope to fend off a technologically superior intelligence and a weapon too small to see? With bullets, of course! Oh – and some mack in a skintight Nanosuit Mark 2.

When Watts isn’t busy assaulting police officers and resisting arrest, he is a well known writer of ‘hard’ science-fiction (meaning sci-fi that is firmly grounded in the ‘science’ part of science-fiction). He has also aided Relic in writing the story for Homeworld 2, an award winning space RTS released in 2003.

Crysis 2 is slated for release on March 25th, 2011 for PC, PS3, and 360.

The Spammer strikes again! To tell you the truth though, I've never even heard of this guy before and I love reading anything basically with more than a few words and some descent plot behind it. I hope this goes well and is better than the average Movie --> Book or Game ---> Book. Those are usually on par with the writing skills of "The Tales of Beedle The Bard"... P.s. Terry Pratchett FTW!

He is also connected to the story in Dead Space, and he wrote a marvellous hard science fiction novel titled "Blindsight".
