How fast can you die in... The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim?

With the summer release schedule drying up like it always does, we've been given a chance to go back and revisit one of the biggest games of the generation to see how it fares on our 'How Fast Can You Die In...' leaderboard. That's right, it's Skyrim's chance to shine. Can we fall off the cart in the introduction scene? Will the dragon's fiery breath turn us into a cinder in one go? And how long can we resist the opportunity to make an 'arrow to the knee' joke? Let's find out...

If you enjoyed this, then why not subscribe to our YouTube channel? You'll get to watch all the new HFCYDI videos as soon as they're up, enjoy our Super Smash Bros Wii U Weekly series and laugh at some English people (GamesRadar UK) pretending to be even more English in our Posh British Versions of your favourite games.

I think there's a definite case for this feature being renamed "How fast can you make a dodgy pun in..." If the bottom ever drops out of the games journalism market, at least Justin has a secure future putting jokes on lollypop sticks and in Christmas crackers ;)

    That's a nice thought, thanks :P

If the game crashed during one of the freezes, would that count as a death? 'Coz I got one in the very first loading screen :)

Ah, good old justin with this in game jokes to pass the time

Dat rar joke... you suck, Justin, seriously. Anyway, for a suggestion on the next HFCYDI... DARK SOULS! DARK SOULS! DARK SOULS!

I second the Dark Souls recommendation. I'd die before I even got the disc out of the box.

I love me some Dark Souls, but I'd have thought it was too easy to die in either of the Souls games to make it challenging enough to bother

I wonder how that would play out. I can't remember if the first few hollowed in the corridor can even hurt you, so it's probably just a matter of sprinting to the ladder, up, activate bonfire (can you skip lighting the bonfire???), open the big door, get slammed by the fatty demon. For maximum speed and efficacy of dying quickly, he should start off as the naked guy.

I think you can skip the bonfire, but for the sake of research, I shall do it myself to find out! ... as soon as my laptop stops overheating after gaming for even 10 minutes. >_>
