Homefront is already being made as an "emotional war shooter." Maybe David Cage should try a war movie instead.

@ farsided Yeah, at least Kanye has the talent to back up his massive ego, while Cage is a talentless hack with a god complex.

I'm very interested in this. Just make sure to get good voice actors all the way around this time. If they're not of the same nationality of their character, at least make sure they can fake a good accent.
  • farsided - March 4, 2011 3:12 a.m.

@Blasto yeah, except Kanye puts out phenomenal albums that at least makes up for all his crap for about a month, while Cage puts out a half good, overhyped QTE.

I'm betting that he'll figure out how to cram in nudity and an awkward sex scene.

sounds good on paper, but it's David Cage we're talking about. Fahrenheit's story (was this written by him also? need to check) blows halfway past the game, and Heavy Rain's story blows right after 'press x for jason' which is very early. and I dont quite believe they will make a succesful jump from making a game composed QTEs to making a working FPS.

Just as long as it's the same voice actors. Otherwise, no dice.

This article really made CVG sound like dicks.
  • kingsmikefan - March 4, 2011 2:30 a.m.

Ok, but HEavy Rain's writing sucked. Fix that and I'm on board.
  • Blasto - March 4, 2011 2:28 a.m.

jesus christ that man is a pretentious asshole! When Jim Sterling described David Cage as "the Kayne West of video games" he really hit the nail on the head.
  • skynetiscoming - March 4, 2011 2:24 a.m.

I'm all for the idea, but not really the first time it will have been done. I thought the first two Brothers in Arms games did a great job of conveying emotion and a bond between soldiers, saying something more than the "America Fuck Yeah" message of CoD and Medal of Honour.
  • KaziWhy - March 4, 2011 2:23 a.m.

A realistic war game that doesn't glamorise it but instead shows the actual emotion invoked from that environment? TAKE MY MONEY
  • TURbo - March 4, 2011 2:22 a.m.

Oh my god. I'm in a wasteland.
  • Brutalicus - March 4, 2011 2:21 a.m.

Having never played a Quantic game... this still sounds awesome.
  • santaclouse37 - March 4, 2011 2:20 a.m.

I'm really excited to play whatever comes next from this studio. Hopefully Cage learned his lesson and will have the game star French soldiers (which will be appropriate if it's going to be a tragedy. HA!) Also, First!
